They are saying the next Gen PlayStation will be Cloud no more game disk's. Well heck you might as well convert to PC gaming and get a Steam Account. I use to have 3 optical drives where I would keep a different game in each one in my old PC builds. I didn't like giving up my PC Game Disk at 1st. But 5 years later I'm fine with Cloud Steam service, they have added a ton of feature last 3 months! I like that I can pick mods and steam install them for me. LOVE STEAM!

on_droid [1 Build] 2 points 19 months ago

Yeah, consoles have really lost their advantage. The biggest reason to get a console over a gaming pc is for the exclusives. Game developers don't really make very many exclusives anymore. You can get almost any game though Steam now. That is why Nintendo is more likely to succeed then Playstation or Xbox. They still have tons of exclusives (you can download emulators for a lot of Nintendo games but most people won't do that). That, and they have cornered the market for family/kid gaming.

Divdor [1 Build] 1 point 19 months ago

Almost all of my games are steam. Love it as well. Have a few on origin and blizzard. It's the future for games. No mo disks for me.

MoxieGrrl 2 points 19 months ago

Yup, I'm Steam/GOG. I'm SO glad to have Baldur's Gate back.

You need eyefinity! Great build btw.

i plan to thats why i went this route! thanks!

Divdor [1 Build] 1 point 19 months ago

Should run very well for 3x1 plus 1. You will need to check out wsgf.org to help patch games that need it to run on 3 monitors. Flawless widescreen and widescreenfixer are good programs to have as well.

Good Luck!

Did your PSU come with those Cables? and Nice build I plan on Cross-Firing my 7950 as well when I get the money or a custom water loop :)

1lowrado2136 [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 19 months ago

No, but you can get them off the corsair site for the ax series psu. The 7950s r amazing extremely happy with the performance this far, they won'tet you down!

Lunatik 2 points 19 months ago

Out of curiosity, whats setting do you play and how many fps are you getting with the graphic cards?

1lowrado2136 [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 19 months ago

I usually play everything on either high or ultra and get anywhere from 75-120 depending on the game.

Lunatik 2 points 19 months ago

Again out of curiosity, what games do you typically play?

1lowrado2136 [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 19 months ago

nitemarex2x 1 point 19 months ago

North60 1 point 19 months ago

i'm curious too.

what sort of temperatures are you getting with those 7950's on a fx8350?

1lowrado2136 [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 19 months ago

i love them they are extremely quiet and stay very cool!

on_droid [1 Build] 1 point 19 months ago

Looks awesome. Would have went with black ram with this build but that's just me. Also, don't tease us with just one pic!

1lowrado2136 [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 19 months ago

yeah ik ha i bought that went i was still gonna use a red phantom 410 then it evovled into a multi gpu config so the case got bigger aswell

Dooperman [1 Build] 1 point 19 months ago

I hope my build will eventually be something like this. I will hopefully get a ssd soon. I will hold out on a crossfire build for when its really necessary maybe get a 7970 when it goes down in price in a year.

FrankV01 [1 Build] 1 point 18 months ago

Trying to understanding overclocking my FX-8350; when you overclocked yours did you only increase the multiplier or did you also increase the voltage?

Also, is it normal to have system instability during the process of over-clocking? Like an occasional fail to boot (where it boot cycles)?

Any info you could provide on your overclocking experience would be great! Thanks.

sundog702 1 point 18 months ago

I'm thinking about getting that same case, as well as putting an H100i inside of it, but I'm concerned about the airflow. How is it?

Great build btw!

1lowrado2136 [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 18 months ago

air flow is amazing i love this case!

iiLeGiT101 [1 Build] 1 point 18 months ago

How was it hooking up the H100i in this case? I will be using the H100i in the same case and I'm just wondering if you had any problems installing it.

1lowrado2136 [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 18 months ago

None its extremely easy to hook up! Its just really hard to get the corsair link to work and stay working.

iiLeGiT101 [1 Build] 1 point 18 months ago

I'm sort of a noob to this but is the corsair link the software for the H100i?

1lowrado2136 [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 18 months ago

Yes, its what allows you to control your fans that are connected to the block and the leds, aswell as monitor temps and rpms

kle8309 [1 Build] 1 point 17 months ago

I have notice you gave the Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid 3/5 stars. Do you have a better recommendation?

1lowrado2136 [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 17 months ago

no i dont honestly. i have just had a lot of trouble out of mine

JasonRespawn 1 point 14 months ago

THE CASE IS SEXY

skemble [17 Builds] 1 point 12 months ago

Hey I just stumbled across your build, which is very nice btw, and I was curious about a couple things.

  1. What types of overclocks have you been able to get stable? Both on the CPU and the GPU.

  2. What scores have you gotten when running 3D Mark Firstrike at those overclocks?

morg0770 1 point 6 months ago

what settings do you use on the motherboard for your overclock? I have the same mobo/cpu combo and have trouble getting decent overclocks with my liquid cooler

no reason to unless your an intel fanboy, which i am not so i took a leap of faith with amd and its turned out extremely well. i can do anything on this rig you can do with your intel, assuming you have one.

the 8350 beats the i5 so what's the point

IamApropos [3 Builds] -2 points 19 months ago

the point being it barely even competes but it does compete with the i5 in gaming. Its really sad that so many people took that teksydicate publicity stunt so seriously... Just because someone tested the 8350 on specific software and games that showed it beating the intel chips doesn't mean someone can go and do the same for the intel chips... For gaming as it stands the i5 and 8350 compete with each other. Depending on the games you plan on playing but realistically anyone in the industry can tell you so far until now that the i5 is overall more powerful for gaming period. Yes Crysis 3 is one of the games that the multi core chips beat it but that is not the OVERALL and surely not going to be the norm for some years to come.

Raderyx [2 Builds] 3 points 19 months ago

Although I do prefer the i5, I have to give some credit to the 8350. It can overclock to 4.7 Ghz easily and actually overclocks easier than the 3570k. It also has more cores and newer generation games like Crysis 3 do actually gain more performance from more cores and hyperthreading. The reason the i5 delivers more performance is because of its superior architecture. If you're refering to hyperthreading, the i5 doesn't support hyperthreading.

If he was a rep then he probably would have used a Corsair case and keyboard.

1lowrado2136 [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 19 months ago

I'm not I jist like the stuff corsair comes out with. As for the h100i I just haven't oc yet I have only had the system built for 3 days and its my first build so I'm not completely comfortable with ocing yet.

Fastmaster7 -1 points 19 months ago

I think only when you get a good oc on that 8350 it wont bottleneck crossfired 7950s

1lowrado2136 [Submitter] [1 Build] 4 points 19 months ago

it seems to be doing ok right now. i do plan to oc though.

sundog702 1 point 18 months ago

And may I ask, why did you give the H100i a 3-star rating?

1lowrado2136 [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 18 months ago

i have been having a lot of trouble with mine. i have only had the corsair link working 1 time and now my white led is out.
