Description

Hey guys im 15 and this is my very first build. I have always wanted to build my own PC. And with the help of my dad I was able to purchase all of the parts and put it together. This PC has been running for a few weeks just fine no problems or odd noises. What do you guys think? The 8350 is clocked to 4.8 ghz with the sweet h100i.. Also the total actual cost was around 1100$ for the pc at micorcenter no mice or keyboard/monitor. They price matched every single one of these items with amazon and new egg, in other words im very happy with the service I got. I deleted the cabal pic because it does not reflect the completed build.

great build but dont get the 760 for a 7970 or a R9280x better preformance and or cheaper. Also no need for 16gb of if you will be just gaming. Other then that amazing build!

Permalink 16 months ago
naurto75 submitter 1 Build 1 point

Ah ok then the ram amount is fine the video card is not worth the money to put it simply go with a 7970 or a 280x

I say it frequently but Congrats on your first build and a shout out to your Dad for doing this with you. So are you hooked? And if so, what part are you already thinking of upgrading?

What made you go with the R9 280X..... and have you had any issues in any way to this point with this card?

Thanks

Permalink 16 months ago
naurto75 submitter 1 Build 1 point

Yep my dad is a great man one of the men i strive to be like. And yes I am hooked. Im not really sure im satisfied with all of my components as I wont be switching over to intel any time soon. The R9 280x has directx 11.2 support and with support mantel and its a good value lol. And i have had no issues with the card. It runs very cool and quite no coil wine. I honestly cajnt even hear the video card over my h100i.

Cable managment called, he wants his airflow back

Permalink 16 months ago

Oh my goodness. This case is one of the best cases for cablemanagement. If you don't believe me, check out my main build. I hope that you have fixed up the cables, cause thats....thats just disrespectful to this case.

OTHER THAN THAT, you did a mighty fine job picking out parts for this build, very well done.

Hey, I have a question for you about that power supply.(I now I'm a little bit late). I was just wondering: Can you please measure how long it is excluding the handle? I'm thinking about buying this for my build, but it has to be less than 170mm deep. Thank you, and what a great build!

Good lawdy the cable management in this thing. I am not well versed in the Cooler Master cases but cant you remove the back panel and route the cables?

Permalink 16 months ago

check my main build to see this case being used properly. (this is just disrespectful.) http://pcpartpicker.com/b/Fhv

I agree the cable management is not the best, but it isn't the worst I've seen.

The GPU? That thing is great. Not sure what you are talking about. It is equivalent to a Radeon 7970 Ghz Edition and has great pricing and technology that takes the extra stress of surround sound off the CPU. It is a very powerful card for a nice price. It beats out a $400 GTX 770 in most benchmarks and applications. Case isn't even bad. In fact, it looks pretty nice. It costs a bit more than I would like, but it is not extremely overpriced. And the RAM? I don't see what you see wrong about it. Maybe could have gotten it cheaper with a different kit.

Amazing Build, Amazing Overclocking, Amazing GPU. +1 From me :)

Permalink 16 months ago
naurto75 submitter 1 Build 1 point

Ah yes the cable management is actually fine this was just while i was building it.
