Description

Hey guys!

First of all, I want to give a big thank you to the members of /r/buildapc. I would not have this awesome machine without their help, feedback, and suggestions.

But here it is! Leandros, my first build, and for a 15-year-old, most would consider it an epic achievement. The things I most wanted this to run were Bioshock Infinite, Skyrim, Minecraft+personal server, and Portal 2. And it blows doors on all of those things.

What are your opinions? I wanna hear feedback. Thanks!

Yeah I kno, a lot of people have said that on reddit and such. But it performs like a champ, so I'm happy.

I like it!

Did the cooler master cpu cooler fit in that case? I see you have it listed in your parts, but not in the case.

Yeah, it just barely fit in the case. I ended up putting the cooler in there a couple days after the initial build when the stock cooler started to have trouble with cooling the case.

Nice build i like it might pick some parts from your build list to make mine :D :)

it looks like you have it sitting on carpet, i would move it or place a piece of wood under it so your psu doesnt have to work really hard to pull in good air

idhron [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Since building it I have moved it into a pre-made wooden computer compartment to give it better airflow. That's just where it was for a little while :)

babbaj [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Umm it's pulling air from inside the case

l13199l [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

welp, i guess im really used to seeing psu's with the fan facing downward

idhron [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 13 months ago

I turned over the PSU after several people noticed my mistake :P

Lexar992 1 point 14 months ago

Is the case good?

idhron [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 13 months ago

I love it.

That optical drive on the shelf :P

Useless piece of crap. But it makes me look like I'm a pro computer architect :P

only thing for $10 more you could have gotten a fx-6300 but nice build

idhron [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 13 months ago

At the point that I bought it it I didn't feel it was necessary to 1up. Thanks though.

Never ever put a computer on the ground. Static electricity can damage the parts and affect airflow; nevertheless looks good +1

idhron [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 13 months ago

It has since been moved onto my desk. Thanks!

You have no motherboard shield ._.

idhron [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 13 months ago

Not every motherboard has one.

Should have gone with the AMD Athlon II X4 750K

idhron [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 13 months ago

What for?

  1. Should have gotten a 6300 for $10-$20 more
  2. Should have gotten a 7850 for $30 more
  3. Nice build for a 15 year old, I'm 16 myself and trying to save to finish a build I currently have in the works.

idhron [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 13 months ago

Sweet, and thanks for the info. Right now it's doing just fine with the parts I gave it :P

sqielyr 1 point 13 months ago

I'm just saying you could have gotten a lot more performance had you spent a little more on those specific parts. But if your budget didn't allow for it I understand.
