First ever build for Light video editing & casual gaming PC

Hey guys parts are as is, this is my first ever build i went for a good CPU for video editing and a mid range GPU as i am not a heavy gamer.

I spray painted the mesh myself with a cherry red heat prof engine spray, im very happy with it.

Its looks awesome!

The machines is running smooth and heat is about 60c with 100% CPU load and 50+ when i'm light gaming with a stable of 35+ when in normal use.

The only issue i am having is when i leave the machines untended for a good amount of time it tends to give me and blank screen with the PC still on, i have to manually turn the machine of and on myself.

UPDATE# Screen issue has been resolve with the latest AMD BETA update.

If you have a clue why please let me know?

thanks

Please do get a bigger table, I'm afraid for your computer falling off.

Hahaha Just moved from NZL to AU so i'm staying at my girlfriends parent and this is the biggest table they have for me to use.

Something about the fans on the heat sink set up looks off to me but im guessing its a space issue

tarn [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

I wish i could have it the right way round :( Yes a big space issue where the ram sits. Should have gone with a water cooler.

I had a similar issue when I had my computer connected VIA HDMI to a tv, and once the computer turned off the screen, I'd have to turn off the monitor and turn it back on again before i get my screen back.

My guess would be the power saving settings on your monitor. Check your settings, and if that dosen't work, maybe a different port (like DVI or DisplayPort).

All and all, nice build (for a first timer :P )

60c while gaming is a bit high for the noctua cooler. I run one in my system with an AMD FX 6300 overclocked and 57c is the max temperature after hours of BF4 gaming. You would get better temps if you had a it horizontally aligned and it would look better too. Maybe get a couple of case fans.

As for your black screen problem, try taking out the GPU, run intel integrated graphics and do what you normally do when you get that black screen. If it doesn't happen, then the problem is your GPU.

Sorry it 60c is at 100% CPU load, gaming is only about 50+. :) Have space issue with with cooler :( And yes i few Red LED fans coming to give it a front under glow :)

fatninjamke [2 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

Cool, not a fan of LED's my self but it's your system. Enjoy!

I'm not a fan myself but I'll be putting one in the front for mood lighting and hope a little glow will come out the front bottom if you know what I mean

Nice but you might need a bigger table or put it on the ground and lay a nice, shaved piece of wood under it

My friend raged and punched his computer screen before. Hopefully you don't punch your computer and make it fall off of your desk while raging :(
