Built this pc for my friend for gaming. The psu was replaced with a cx750m that he got from bestbuy for 20 bucks. I'll work on getting some more pics but he doesn't live close lol.
IMO the MSI boards are underrated, do you like them?
I actually really like msi boards. I think they're at the one of the best price points out there.
Too bad it wasn't red :(
Anywho, +1 from me.
IMO the MSI boards are underrated
IMO the MSI boards are underrated
I completely agree. They make some very interesting color schemes that aren't the typical red and black. They also made the infamous Big Bang XPower II, which was the one with the bullet theme and is now discontinued due to being a serious fire hazard. That's the only board I think they screwed up on.
The one I'm going to be working on soon is the Z87 MPower Max, which has a unique yellow and black theme. It is not only eye-catching, but appealing, being that most builds these days are red, blue, or green.
oh yes If I could redo my build I would use that board with lots of black and yellow parts. I think it would look good in a Define R4 with a Corsair RM psu of some sorts
Watch my profile! I have a build coming with and MSI Mpower z87, a Fractal design define R4 and other cool ****! parts should come in tomorrow!
Also in general they include good features on all of their boards instead of just their high end boards unlike competitors like Gigabyte. And at a good price
Yeah, that's what I hate about Gigabyte and ASUS. Only their high-end boards have all of the good features; but the boards are only considered high-end because they have lots of features.
But with MSI boards, they have plenty of features on even the cheap ones, and the cheap ones aren't even the lame light blue color, they actually have a nice dark blue and black theme to them. The Z87-G45 and GD65 are great red and black boards with plenty of features, and the MPower/XPower series boards have plenty of features for the price, too.
Any specific reason you went with liquid cooling? This isn't a very demanding build and I'm sure that air cooling could do the job.
Also, could you include the monitor, keyboard, etc, if possible?
I went with the liquid cooling cause I had it lying around the house in a box from one of my previous builds. As for the monitor, mouse, and what not he purchased those after he took it home so I have only guesses as to what he uses now. Well I do know that the keyboard he uses is just some dynex model from bestbuy that was like 15 bucks or so. I'm almost positive that he uses some samsung tv for a monitor but I can't be sure.
Ahh okay thanks for the reply. :) I wish him luck.
I wouldn't mind knowing what YOU have, if you don't mind :P. (If you have one)
If you mean my personal rig that can be found here
From what I can see you cable management looks great and overall the price of this build is nice
+1 in my book
I'm kind of a stickler for cables. one we got the cx750m in there the cables got alot better.
Haha me too man me too, I think I used about 70 zipties in my Air 540 in the back lol
you're playing with fire by using a cx430w psu with a 7950...
that psu was upgraded. I just don't have a more recent pic of it.
nice price on the SSD
I'm pretty sure when I was at Microcent the cashier handed me the wrong box. I didn't notice until I took it out of the box then I got jealous lol.
Good built and very good price !!
Good job !!
How's the case with the cooling and cable management? I'm planning on getting that very one when I build my system (eventually) :P
It's pretty good I've used 3 of them now. If you go look at my personal build you can see that I have a H100i mounted in the top but you could also fit something larger up there if need be. As far as cable management goes it's pretty easy to get everything hidden away. A little more on heat and what not I keep all my fans on low and my cpu usually sits pretty low even when I have the window open and the sun is shining on the case.
Ah nice. Think I'll stick with this one then. Although I'm planning on getting an evo fan for the cpu, I've seen a lot of good things and also I'm kinda trying to keep cost down.
Nice build anyways! c:
I really like the evo it's a good buy
Yeah, only problem is I don't even know if it'll fit! I might have to go with the h100i for that reason. Ah well, the builds not gonna happen for a while now, I'm thinking to far ahead as it is.
Terrific work on the prices. I'm not a fan of gaudy case colors, but that's the way I am and would never force that on anybody else. +1 for total cost and overall part selection!
yeah I like the more simple stuff too black and white for me. As for the prices it really helps having a microcenter near by lol
Those are some good deals you got. I recently finished my first build for 800. If I had gotten the liquid cooler, it'd probably be around your price point, but I think your machine would outperform mine.
can this play minecraft to the max setting and can this play call of duty world at war custom zombies
good question I'll meet with my people and we'll come up with a plan to cure the plague
so do you thing thi pc can play games such as cod ghost on pc and batman orgins
I'm quite sure it can
where did you get you pc build for you at
Are you asking about a particular part or are you asking if I had this built for me somewhere?
I'm still confused. The parts are usually bought through Newegg, Amazon, or Microcenter. As for assembly I put them together myself.
By any chance, would you have the box dimensions of the case? I might need to transport mine and I want to know if it would fit in a suitcase.
215mm(W) x 516mm(H) X 532mm(D)
or do you mean the box that the case comes in?
Yes, the case it comes in.
I got about
Thats take using a random tape measure found in the closet
Thanks for finding this out for me!
