I think you may have placed your CPU cooler the wrong way... Your fans are blowing air to the front not the back.

Painwithin [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

yeah he does, with the way he has it the exhaust fan is fighting with the cpu fans, should reverse them.

Shysti [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

Crap, you're right! Ugh, gonna be a ***** to get it out and back in >.<, thanks for letting me know though! Glad I haven't OC it yet.

Shysti [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

You sure, I put my hands on the fans blowing and they were blowing out towards the back exhaust fan.

ShammysPC [4 Builds] 1 point 7 months ago

You dont have to remove the entire cooler unless you REALLY need to! All you need to do is remove the fans and turn them around

Shysti [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

Derp, lmao, well I did.

ShammysPC [4 Builds] 2 points 7 months ago

What monitor stand do you have?

Shysti [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

I bought this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007BD0MPM/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And it is awesome, you can get some sick angles with it.

Great build, +1 for all the choices. Although I probably would have gone for a 2x push setup on the cooler. Not the biggest fan of the case though, but must admit it is nice to build in! The overall setup looks amazing though, jealous of the stand!

ITneto 2 points 7 months ago

I don't really like this case, but in this build It looks amazing! +1

Shysti [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 7 months ago

Thanks, I love this case, its truly a beast! Huge, plenty of room. I'm going to add some LED red strips into the case later on. I'll add more pics of it then.

RavenBladez 1 point 7 months ago

can it fit my future 2 ssds, 2 hdds, and 2 videocards?

Shysti [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

Yes!

Oh what desk is that? I'm looking into corner desks like that.

Shysti [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 7 months ago

It's two Ikea tables.

Here's the one with my monitors: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S49932670/

Here's the other for the rest of my stuff that completes the L shape:

Great Setup plus 1 I would of a bigger SSD and crossfire two 770's and could of got a better mobo for the price such as asus gaming series.

Shysti [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

Yeah, that's my one regret (besides putting the cooler on backwards lol) I wish I would have gotten a bigger SSD >.<

SLI* probably just a typo on your part

jakethemp [2 Builds] 1 point 7 months ago

great build. you should provide some space between the front fan and the wall you cut off 100cfm of air out of that case choking that fan out. (assuming you have the top mount fans exhausting) I'm also running the phanteks CPU cooler. its a beast and i really haven't even thought of going to liquid cooling. great build tho.

Love your office layout and very nice build! Can you tell me more about your day trading? What platform are you using? My husband trades e-minis and wants a better system. He uses E-Signal and Ninja Trader. We will probably be upgrading him in the next few months and it would be great to have some input from someone who trades as well.

Thanks!

Shysti [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

Thanks Denise, I'm still learning to trade Forex, so I am not fully into it yet. I'll keep you posted though.

Awesome looking system, but you should check out the CPU fan. I don't think it's positioned right. :/

Your chair looks really cool! Would you mind passing the brand and the code? Thanks!

+1

Shysti [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

This chair was the wisest pick out of them all. My ****** walmart chair had my back and neck jacked up for months, and I almost couldn't fathom putting so much money into a desk chair. But then I thought about the fact that I spend a lot of time at my desk and it's a good investment long term.

The chair is an Ergohuman v1 chair and I got mine cheap (compared to other places)on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ergohuman-Raynor-ME7ERG-Ergonomic-Mesh-Office-Chair-High-Back-Headrest-Black-/231212002380?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35d54f2c4c

It is SO comfortable, I have NO back and neck pains anymore, this thing is more comfortable than my bed lmao. I love it. Check it out on youtube for more info.

tahirakinci [1 Build] 2 points 7 months ago

JESUS. It's too expensive hahah. Thanks for the reply, though. It looks like a spaceship.

Shysti [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

I debated over that fact myself. I had never paid so much for a DESK CHAIR, of all things. But the back/neck pain is quite the motivator lol. I don't regret it one bit though.

Maybe he didnt want a closed loop cooler, air coolers are safer for your computer because they have less parts that can fail and even if it does fail it is still a passive cooler and you will have more time to turn your computer off if it fails compared to a watercooler, where if a hose blows in your system it can wreck the whole thing. There can be a lot of problems with closed loop coolers and by the way, the NH-D14 can keep up with the h100i most of the time.

Shysti [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

Yeah, I was afraid of doing a water cooler, since I've never installed cooling in a system before. This was my baby step in that direction. Eventually, I'll tackle that fear and try one out.

darkchief1 [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

Yeah im in pretty much the same position, but how is that noctua doing? im tempted in getting it instead of the H100i, because of the water-cooling horror stories and my case isnt big enough.

Shysti [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

Keeping things nice and cool, but I haven't overclocked yet.

StewieMonSta [2 Builds] 1 point 7 months ago

NH-D14 is only a couple of degrees hotter than the H100i. It's the best air cooler.

Shysti [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 7 months ago

Cool, glad I picked a good one :D

StewieMonSta [2 Builds] 1 point 7 months ago

Yeah it's a great choice :) and as darkchief1 said it does keep up with H100i a lot of the time too.
