Welcome to my first build!
As for my cable management, this case blows for putting wires anywhere, so I tucked them under the 5.25" drive bay and secured them there just to keep the space as open as possible for air. The PSU is incorrect. It was actually just a spare I had, which also didn't help the cause for cabling, but it has been very stable. I didn't want to go all out for just something that I turned into an OpenELEC machine to stream movies and DVDs ripped to my unRaid server, which I may upload later :) I didn't need anything fancy, so I got Team Elite Ram, not the Corsair pictured. It was quite a bit less expensive.
Just as a side note, I would have loved to try one of AMDs APUs, but their drivers have poor Linux support, let alone OpenELEC.
Technically I can run the OS off of a thumb drive, but I don't want to do that quite yet. Once I do get that working I will be saving this SSD for my first gaming PC build. I've got the itch, and finding this site only made this itch worse.
Well, there you have it. Budget movie and TV show player. I've been running it for 3+ months and it performs fantastic.
CPU I basically picked the least expensive Intel Dual Core that had HD Graphics.
Motherboard Had to pick one with HDMI out, and I believe this one had the best rating at the time. I do see a lot of RMAs with ASRock, but I guess it isn't bad because I looked at some other MOBOs that I've never heard of.
RAM Just some of the least expensive 4GB (Team Elite) set that I have seen before. Also I believe it's 1066 and not 1333. Set up wouldn't allow for it but it's still snappy.
Case What a fantastic case except for cable management. It looks a lot like the other equipment I have set up with the TV. Also has a metal bar across the top so you can put stuff on top of it without worrying about the case.
PSU Needs a change, but it is still going strong and hasn't blown up.
SSD I bought it for a different use, but it is in here doing some fantastic work. Boots OpenELEC and is ready to watch in <15 seconds.
Notes, comments, etc. are all welcome. If I'm missing anything feel free to ask.
