UPDATE: I did a couple more things :) I flipped the hard drives around so the cables are hidden in the front, installed a CPU cooler (Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo), and installed some nifty green lights. Hope you all like it!
I recently decided to revamp my machine, which ended up turning into a fairly large project.
A few weeks ago I decided to replace my mobo, processor, memory and video card. While I was at it, I decided to do some case modding to my old Antec 300 to make a window on the side and to manage my cables better. I cut holes next to the power supply and next to the motherboard so that I could route all my cables behind the panel. I also ended up cutting a hole in the bottom of my case so I could actually mount the power supply right side up. After that, I cut a window out of the left side panel and mounted some plexiglass from Home Depot on the inside to make a nice little window.
As far as the hardware goes, this little setup can kill just about anything. Nothing but good things to say about this rig.
Let me know if you guys have any comments/suggestions about my new look! Always looking to improve cable management, especially now that you can see inside. I just bought two green intake fans fans for the front, and a green cold cathode to mount inside. I'll post updates soon.
