I decided that for my new computer I wanted something completely different. I wanted to build it, I wanted it to run Windows, and I wanted it to be a desktop. I was initially going to go for an ATX mid tower, but when I saw the BitFenix Prodigy case in vibrant green, I knew I had to have it.
I didn't want to spend more than $900 since I was using student loans to buy it. I know that I paid a premium for a power supply, but I wanted that 140mm (and the short cable set was nice, too). I didn't have to pay for the operating system or the memory, since my fiancé had both. As of right now, I do not have the lazer light kit installed. Eventually I'd like to get a small SSD for the OS and Civ and any other games I discover that don't give me horrible motion sickness.
No plans to overclock. I'm also not too terribly concerned with cable management AT THE MOMENT, as I am just thrilled that everything worked the first time. I will clean up the cables as much as I can in the next few weeks.
