Very nice build

nice build, but i would've got a 770 cause it is faster. 760 is worse than the 7950 by somethings but a HELLA lot better in other things

770 also costs more, I got my Vapor-X 7950 for 285. I don't think I could have found anything better back in June.

It's nice, but you shouldn't of gone with a single stick of ram, you should have gotten 2x4 and then just upgraded from there instead of a single stick and then another down the road. Otherwise, it's nice. I like it.

Thanks and yeah I have received a lot of criticism for getting one on other sites as well, but 48 bucks is an incredible deal for 8 gb 1600 I couldn't stop myself at the time.

Radicult [2 Builds] 1 point 8 months ago

yea, that price is amazing, so i'd suggest scooping up another as soon as you can

MrMOABy [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 8 months ago

it's at 60 right now sadly and I don't have much need for 16 gb yet.

Radicult [2 Builds] 1 point 8 months ago

thats still cheaper than two sticks of 4, but you make a point about not needing it.

I just ordered myself a phantek cpu cooler myself in blue to go with my blue asus mobo. love the color scheme on this.

Thanks, I can imagine that your phantek and asus board will look really good together.

it does, but I had a big problem putting it on. turns out the retention block that they sent wasn't drilled properly and when I went to put the retaining bar on one of the screws was about a 16th of an inch off. talk about a pain in the ass but a little work with a drill bit I was able to slide it over and mount it securely luckly it was just a bolt with a spring and retaining clip.

Nice, see I wouldn't have been able to do that, props to you for your handiwork.

if you can drop the front hard drive mounts your not using and open it up for air flow using some high cfm fans youll get much better flow.

Maybe in the future, right now I don't even have a fan right there so it wouldn't do much for me. I guess it's just serving as something to hold dust instead of more important parts like GPU and CPU cooler.

could drop one of those corsair fans down from the top, doesn't really do you a ton of good if your taking air away from the intake of the cpu fan. then just pick up up another set of corsair fans later.

MrMOABy [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 8 months ago

I actually have it blowing air into the case where it will help the cooler, and blowing air out at the back where the cooler is blowing hot air.

Does anybody know where I could buy a custom side panel that has a full window? It doesn't necessarily have to have a spot for a fan but I really want a cool side panel so I can see everything.

SumanIV [1 Build] 1 point 8 months ago

Love it, especially the Caviar Black and 840 Pro.

MrMOABy [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 8 months ago

Thanks, I received some criticism on the Black on other sites cuz it's just storage so I shouldn't need the speed, but i got it at a good price so I figured I would spend a little extra.

Awesome build man, i love that cooler.

MrMOABy [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

thanks man, I do too I just wish I could paint the white part of the fans orange to match my case, but most of my fans a black and white scheme so that's how I justify it.

Currently looking for a wireless network adapter for my build, would you recommend yours?

MrMOABy [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

not if you're going to use backtrack I was planning on using it with backtrack so im a bit disappointed but for regular uses it is pretty good and id recommend it

alexjc4lyfe 1 point 7 months ago

O no i'm definitely not gonna use backtrack or anything like that, i just want a USB wireless network adapter that will give me some pretty good signal strength and speed. Thx man
