Description

This computer is mainly used for internet browsing and light gaming (internet games). I opted for the APU from AMD since it offer good performance for its price. Also, I chose the 1866 Mhz RAM to help it run better. Since I wanted it to be as fast as possible for the tasks I wanted, I added a SSD.

I must say that the case is really a joy to work with for its price tag.

Really good build top to bottom. I've been trying to talk my mom out of buying a new laptop, and just letting me do a similar build to this.

How is the SSD attached? I'm assuming double sided tape, why not just put it in the open slot above for safe keeping?

it looks like it's screwed into an adapter that snaps into place below the 5.25" bay

Actually, there is a mount there specially for SSDs.

I would try and hide the cables a bit more, but that's just a personal pet peeve of mine. It's not like any of them are restricting air flow.

Other than that, very nice selection of parts for the price.

Yea, I tried my best but, with that PSU, it's hard... I had to push with my foot to close the back correctly x), so I don't think any more cable would enter behind the motherboard.

In fact, this pc is for my aunt. The other one is mine, I use it for gaming, photo editing, programming.

I want to do something similar for my Dad who's always complaining about his slow laptop (This thing is ancient). How well does this system run? My Dad uses things like facebook mainly but likes to do some light photo editting. Thanks in advance and any advice would be appreciated!
