Primarily a machine for CAD and games (hence the name). Run everything on max settings so far with nVidia surround. Total gaming resolution is 4020x1024 for a final aspect ratio of about 4:1. The SLI configuration is great.
Everything is purchased price because I did a lot of bargain hunting on newegg and amazon. The parts were accrued over time. The 2 TB hard drive is from an old PC, and the 500 GB hard drive is from the same old one, but held the OS. I put it in to avoid transferring files and losing some; I also have 7 HD bays, so I'm not losing anything by adding it (non0indexed location, of course). The Samsung 840 SSD is incredibly fast and was a great buy. Haswell is fantastic, although I'm coming from a Core 2 Duo, so I can't compare it to Ivy Bridge. Went to liquid cooling after overclocking for a much quieter system. No complaints about the mobo, works extremely well and I love the dual bios aswell as conformal coating. Great sound quality from it too. The memory is memory, not much to say. Standard DVD/CD burner, didn't need anything fancy.
The PSU from Rosewill is amazing. Great efficiency, easy install, the modularity is great, no complaints. Came ready to go even with my power-hungry SLI setup. The case is a beauty. Although very large, it comes with a built in fan controller, several fans, has room for everything, looks great and just made everything an overall pleasure to work with.
My SLI setup is great. I got the cards used, but they were in perfect condition and run SLI Surround without a problem. I've been running every game on max without hitting any bumps. Fantastic for the price.
Overclocked processor to 4.4 GHz.
Only con is the weight and how physically large the PC is.
