Description

Hey guys. This is my updated build that i did last year. I change the amd a8 with an i5 4440, the a75 motherboard with an b85 from gigabyte and the old 7850 with the new r9 280. Like the last one i use it for gaming mostly. For they that say that the power supply is to low ,they are wrong,This suply is sufficent and it can handle it without a stress.I might change it, but later.

You could have saved on the monitor and bought a better graphics card.

What cpu do you think should I buy fx 8320 or intel core i5 4440?

Retroman 1 point 6 months ago

I'd get the 8320 and put a mild OC on it, maybe set it to 4.2 with your cooler it will be totally fine.

Do you want to overclock?

VengeancE98 [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 6 months ago

If i will go with amd yes.Do you think that my psu is enought?

Hmmm...you might be but I cannot in good conscience say that you won't exceed the limits of your supply at peak consumption. In this case, it's worth considering an Intel CPU since then you probably wouldn't have to replace your PSU. The FX-8* chips get really hungry. For reference, the 8350 has been known to go well over its rated TDP at stock speeds

Next upgrade you will need to get a new CPU like a AMD FX-6300 on sale $109, or for less money a AMD Athlon X4 750K $80 and a MOBO which you can get for around $70 which will allow you to make the best use of your graphics card. You could sell the APU/MOBO to make up for the cost.

Why an ITX board in an ATX case? Doesn't make sense.

VengeancE98 [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 6 months ago

It's a matx board not mitx.AMD athlon x4 750k is basically my cpu without the integrated video card. Also in my country the prices are a little bit higher. For example the fx 8320 is 189$

aylafan [1 Build] 1 point 6 months ago

Whoa. That's expensive. The FX 8320 was $99.99 and the i5 4670K was $179.99 where I live.

$99 FX-8320 <---- MicroCenter?? :)

aylafan [1 Build] 1 point 6 months ago

Yes, the FX 8320 was $99.99 for like a month and a half at Microcenter. It's now back at $129.99.

That cable management though... decent part choice, much room for upgrades. +1

I have a few suggestions for you: You could add another case fan on the bottom of your case as an intake for more airflow. Your motherboard supports up to 2400 MHz ram and your APU would benefit from higher clocked sticks, preferably in a dual-channel kit (2 sticks). You could move your hard drive down to the lower rack so that the intake fan there would be blowing cool air over it.

That being said, nicely done! Your cables look pretty out of the way. I'm sure building on a micro board in a mid tower gives you a lot of room...

If i will change my mobo and cpu i don't think it's necesarly to have a higher memory clock. Also i've seen that you have the gigabyte 970a ud3p.How it is ? If i will go with amd that's my first option.

pholtz [1 Build] 1 point 6 months ago

If you can find it on sale, I think it's a very good deal.
