Description

Hi.. last week I did my first build , a HTPC and I definitely enjoy it. Now I present my dream built, I KNOW IS OVERKILL for most of you readers, but this is what I want it and something I'm proud of building myself, In the future I would be adding a custom water cooling and some new red cables... I'm planning in overclocking later on,I choose my parts mainly because the looks and features like thunderbolt conn.. Gaming, video editing and a lot of photography is on the way with this machine.. as of right now i have a Dell IPS 24 monitor and I'm still undecided on my next 2 monitors, looking foward for advice.

Other Comments: CPU 300$ CPUCOL 85$ MB 350$ RAm 90$ HD FREE Plus A SSD that Is not listed GPU 990$ Case 235$ PSU 80$ OD FREE .. another pc OS FREE.. transfer

Total=2130$ .. my budget is 2500$ for the build.. so i'm still looking for those 2 monitors...

Once again thanks for the confidence this site provide me.

That Phantom 820 makes the GTX 690 look TINY!

Epic, and great work!

Echo5Alpha 2 points 22 months ago

I am doing a very similar build this weekend, I love the color scheme! Who cares about the green on the gpu it's a 690...nuff said! Enjoy the machine!

Really2n2 2 points 18 months ago

This looks epic mate, there's nothing wrong with Overkill!

Awesome build, but I don't quite get the color scheme, all red except for GPU and Kraken? also, how is the 820? I've heard some "not so good" things about it.

VavyRA [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 22 months ago

well the kraken is already red.. i change it..see later pics.. but the gpu well that the 690 and green it is.. lmao .. about the case, I love it, super easy to work and HUGE...

Oliver [4 Builds] 1 point 22 months ago

lols, the little green wifi card light matches the GPU at least...

seafire01 1 point 22 months ago

If it would have been me, I would have went with SLI 680s, but awesome either way. Good job!

VavyRA [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 22 months ago

thanks. I just like the look of the 690.

seafire01 1 point 22 months ago

How is it performing?

VavyRA [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 22 months ago

I'm still WOWWWWWWWW by his performance!!

Smily 1 point 22 months ago

That lit GeForce GTX looks so cool :D

Javanode [1 Build] 1 point 22 months ago

VavyRA [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 22 months ago

Thanks!!.

Nendo [1 Build] 1 point 22 months ago

This is an extreme overclocking board, with SLI in mind. Just funny seeing that 690 sitting there. Not sure what to think..

VavyRA [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 22 months ago

Agree, when the time comes I would add another 690.

Frostbyter 1 point 22 months ago

Wow, I am suprised to be saying this, but this is a very good build for 2500 bux, and even a 690!

I applaud!

VavyRA [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 22 months ago

Thanks

Big_Dean 1 point 22 months ago

Since it appears that you didn't have a budget, why not get an Ares II?? Or a Kraken X60?

VavyRA [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 22 months ago

Because I'm getting ready to play around with custom water cooling..

SrgtMacfly [1 Build] 1 point 22 months ago

Ballz!!!! A GTX 690!!!!!!!!!

LaurenceW 1 point 22 months ago

Son, I am proud

I have a question on the case; are the leds in the case red by default or did you install those on your own? I have in the process of building a computer with this case in the gunmetal color and can't seem to find out what the leds are.

VavyRA [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 22 months ago

sorry for the late reply, the case includes the lights and different colors available. there is a color selector on the case

Oliver [4 Builds] 1 point 22 months ago

You should really consider benchmarking this, you could probably make it pretty high on the banchmark leaderboards.

VavyRA [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 22 months ago

Right now work is really taking my time away, but as soon as I have the time to play around with my pc That is one of my first goals.

Scott93274 [1 Build] 1 point 21 months ago

Nice build, I wish I had that kind of money for the graphics card.

couchington 1 point 21 months ago

How are those monitors treatin' ya? Thinking about getting the same ultra sharp for a gaming build.

basedgodunicorns [1 Build] 1 point 21 months ago

Jesus Christ that thing must be a beast

aragorn98 1 point 21 months ago

Great build! Personally I would get one 1440 monitor with a better response time as 8ms is a bit slow

ItsSeanBroleson 1 point 18 months ago

Wow, I finally decided on a case, came in to see what guys had done with it and after seeing yours, I don't think I could do the case justice. Sexy sexy build man, still with plenty of room to grow too. Good job.

swaggernaut 1 point 15 months ago

your puckin lucky. lol just kidding, nice build, that is 3000 dollars more expensive than my build

ThaAnonGuy 1 point 14 months ago

how about 700-series

SyrackDD3R 1 point 13 months ago

Good Job. Although Windows 7 Ultimate is a not really needed. Windows 7 professional does pretty Much the same things. But Other than That Amazing.

DownloadMoreRAM 1 point 12 months ago

Damn! I can hardly keep from drooling all over my keyboard! Man that case is so sexy! So wish I could afford a build like that with three monitors! Really nice build man! +1

Eggman772 1 point 7 months ago

For $990 i personally would have got a GTX780ti or a Titan. but nice build +1

VavyRA [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 7 months ago

There was no Titan or 780Ti at the time of this build. but the 690 still holds itself really well for my needs

Eggman772 1 point 7 months ago

Oh... well that would be a good upgrade later down the road

VavyRA [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 6 months ago

i dont think it would be a good upgrade later or even now.. there no need for it right now, maybe next year with their 800 series or something

aragorn98 0 points 21 months ago

Great build! Personally I would get one 1440 monitor with a better response time as 8ms is a bit slow

Xxandster700xX 0 points 20 months ago

You could have done much better with a 3k budget. EXAMPLE:I don't know if the Radeon 7990 was out when you made this but that practically blows out any other video card out there currently and it is the same cost as the GeForce 790 that you have now.

hjj174 1 point 10 months ago

The GTX 690 is the most powerful gpu ever made, it even outperforms the Titan and brand new Titan Black.
