Description

I finally built a PC, thanks to my friends. One of them got me into the pc's, and another sold me his 2 week old parts. They called my CPU cooler the Allspark, so that's where the name came from. I got MOBO, CPU, and GPU for half off. I also found this HDD somewhere In my house. I loved this case when i first saw it, but it needed dust filters so i bought some for the top and the PSU. Overall I'm happy with this build, I can play BF4 and Ultra and a constant 60fps. I still plan to get a SSD, and another HDD for storage. I might get another 760 to sli, but maybe when I buy a game that i can't max. Need a fan controller, and LED fans to make it look more pretty and stuff. Oh and the LED's are blue, not purple.

Fun build, no major problems. The only thing i didn't like was the PSU cable, and the CPU cable, they look horrible. I don't have the best pc compared to my friends such as GalliumBeryllium, but I was on the lowest budget and I'm really satisfied with what I was able to get with my budget. A few more paychecks and it'll be pretty.

Update- Got MOAR Leds.
Update- Moved CPU Fan Update- Sleeves.

A description, good part choices and fit for purpose. Things like this are becoming far too rare.

I cant believe you got the GPU and the CPU so cheap, your so lucky

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

My friend hooked it up

YourLocalPCNoob 1 Build 3 points 13 months ago

Makes me wanna switch my H212 Evo for that Shadow rock. Where are they sold?

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

I got mines off of NCIX for 50 after tax and shipping. Right now they should be 50 before tax and shipping. I was going to get the Evo at first, then I saw this and wanted it so bad, and it was on sale lol. It was the first thing I bought too.

elvenson 3 Builds 3 points 13 months ago

That case! Love it.

Only concern I'd have is that the fan is blocked by the gpu... Can you relocate the gpu down to another slot without losing your x16 pci capabilities on that board? Or fit the fan on the top side to vent out that way, or to the left to gain the advantage of the case exhaust fan?

I want that case... lol

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Lost a few degrees switching it over the ram, but I might try moving it to the top as pull, but as of right now, It's running really good even though it looks like the gpu is blocking the fan.

elvenson 3 Builds 2 points 13 months ago

Not just that, but as your gpu heats up under heavy use, it will suck all that heat through the cpu cooler

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Hm yea, I'll probably switch it to the top tonightt

basedgodunicorns 1 Build 3 points 13 months ago

be quiet! Looks great! I was wondering if your ram kept you from installing the fan differently?

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

I just found out that I can move my fan over the ram, It'll just sit a little higher, but when i tried it, my temps went up a degree or two. So i kept it like this.

smittypantz@hotmail.com 15 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Well played!

Every1LoveEvery1 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

Any reason for position of the CPU fan ?

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

It wouldn't fit due to my ram, and I think it works out because of the position of the heat pipes.

Kiburi 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

Looks like a nice build! +1

EcoMCG 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

The build makes the fluid inside of me jump. Beautiful Build, makes me want to do a blue build now... +1

You got the GPU for $150!!?? If only I was this lucky... Guess I'll just stick with my Acer laptop and go cry in a corner ;_;

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Yea, lol I was like that for a long time :(.

dromni 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Glad you got outta it man... Guess I ain't gonna be able to build myself a pc until college it seems :/

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Buy one part at a time!

dromni 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Nah, if I start buying parts now they'd be all outdated by the time I gather enough of them :/ counts money in piggy bank

Caleb10E 5 Builds 2 points 13 months ago

QuickFire TK represent! Love the build, and I don't know how you got the CPU, motherboard and video card half-off but you scored big-time. Enjoy!

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

My friend wanted to upgrade, so he sold them to me. Lol

javierlrod 2 points 13 months ago

Looks great, what brand are the new leds?

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Silverstone, the wires were a bit short, so I solder on longer wires.

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

I'll post pics right now

AddictedBuilder 1 Build 2 points 12 months ago

I am in awe at how nice that cooler looks :) nice job

nathanbaker22 2 points 11 months ago

What lights are those? I don't see them listed and I love the color. Not super bright and over done.

Stanbery 1 Build 2 points 11 months ago

I normally don't care for the look of air coolers, but I do love the simplistic look of the Shadow Rock. +1

tmcclelland455 1 point 13 months ago

Damn, that be quiet! CPU cooler is MASSIVE (to me it looks like it, anyway).

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

I have been looking into headsets recently, what is your opinion of the G430?

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

It's a decent headset, the dongle is pretty cheapish, the sound is nice. Not as nice as other headsets, like the Steel Series. Honestly you can't beat it for $40. But I'm not sure if its still on sale.
I think the only difference between the g430s, and the g230's is the usb dongle.
I would check out the Steel Series Sibera as well.

Love your wallpaper

Moon_Rock 1 point 13 months ago

what side fan does it use? And does it come with extra fan mounts for another fan?

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Side Fan?

Moon_Rock 1 point 13 months ago

size* for the cooler fan

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

120mm, and it doesnt come with an extra mount. Looks like you can make one though

Moon_Rock 1 point 13 months ago

k, thanks for the help

Carlos.sulos3 1 Build 1 point 12 months ago

I just finished my build when I first started looking at builds I saw yours and knew I had to have that cooler :) your setup with the air looks better tho.... Still need to put a couple more things on mine (led fans and sleeved cables) but hopefully it'll look as nice as yours

kingspiral 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Is this board actually black or is it some scummy brown colour that a lot of manufacturers use?

Bokehjeremy submitter 1 Build 1 point 9 months ago

It is Black!

LemingSweaty 1 point 8 months ago

Nice

Brin3 1 point 6 months ago

This is just... Sexy!

+1

7acen7Dragon 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

looks nice, I was kinda hoping it would actually be built inside a gamecube. :B

BurgerBum 1 point 6 months ago

same. gamecube was the first piece of tech ive ever owned and i plan on making a Mitx (ive seen some motherboards that are folded, like... ram is regular ram but at 90 degree angle, you ge what i mean. and still have room for pci x16 slotsl.) with an APU inside for the HTPC.

well, could put a gameube ontop. ;)

RazerZ 1 point 4 months ago

Very nice. +1

TooSchoolForCool 1 point 3 months ago

That heat sink in that case looks pretty cool.

stevengibsonXD 1 point 3 months ago

What light strips did you buy and how do you go about installing them because I am getting that case and would like to evetually put lighting inside the case at the top?

InfamousMEE 1 point 1 month ago
