Description

Hi! :D My name is James, and I'm thirteen. (since April) And I decided to give it a shot, and this is what came out. I would like to thank my grandpa because he was the main guy who influenced me to build a pc. (and this is his camera) I use for gaming and soon to do youtube. The gpu maxes everything :D I would like to thank my mom. Cause she's cool :D I also have a 3 tb Segate Barracuda that I pulled from an old external drive. So.... YEAH :D I would recommend everything I used btw. ...HOLY POOP 150+ LIVKES!?!??! OM FLIPPING GOD :O Update... 4/27/14 Hi guys, today is my birthday!!!! i just turned 14 :o!!!!! well she still runs like a beast, and quite silent >:D

now go build a machine for duplicating items and give me a copy of your computer lOL

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 4 points 14 months ago

Takes some magic (?´?´)?*:???

DeltasEcho 1 point 16 days ago

This is late, but what's your youtube channel if it still exists?

GeorgeBD [1 Build] 0 points 1 month ago

This build is fantastic. I am 14 and I had a mediumish budget, managed a fantastic PC. Very nice choice of parts. Are you OCing your CPU? You have an H100i so I'd assume you were, if not why?

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 1 month ago

hello, thanks for the kind words :D actually just went to texas and they have a micro center store there!!! so i picked up some new parts. so i just finished upgrading my pc 3 days ago. sadly my h100i died 3 days ago as well so i will have to check the warranty on that. the 4790k runs at 4.0, and that is all i need. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/DDNrRB

700mAdOg700 1 point 3 days ago

Nice, I was just going to say that you might want to get more storage (3 tbs is MORE than enough!)btw how do you like your 4670k? Im stuck between that and a fx 8350

PickItApart 18 points 14 months ago

Only 13 and you chose these components?! Impressive. Very smart choices. But, don't let this distract you from school too much.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 19 points 14 months ago

Summer!!! :DD

michaellimbong [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

Holidays!!!!!! Like me, Grade 8 by next year!!! Anyway, nice build you got there, but how do you get such a big budget??? Impressive build.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

Holidays!!! :D My mom helped me on the money side of things xD

michaellimbong [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

Woah... Definitely adequate for gaming... And the fact that you built all the parts yourself is pretty cool. I need to build my desktop (http://pcpartpicker.com/b/Dlo) together with one of the staff in the local store because I'm afraid to have any defects or even brake the components. The original 400W PSU itself is originally not compatible with MY MOTHERBOARD, so I got it exchanged with a 500W PSU. Lucky me. Anyways, you must have a very good mom.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

Just the way I like it :D Don't worry I was scared to but it's not like anyone is taking me to the local store xD I'll tell my mom :D

michaellimbong [1 Build] 4 points 14 months ago

Yeah... Moms don't usually help in computer-centric things, but sometimes they would, and only select moms will help, so you are really lucky... Looking forward to watch your youtube channel...

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

Yeah thanks! :D I got good grades and she gave me some money for this

Mattkx4 11 points 11 months ago

I can't believe this..... You got good grades and you got a $1,000 ....I've never gotten a B or below in my life and get nothing. I gotta save a thousand dollars all on my own...well anyway great build. BTW I'm 12

ratchet1346 2 points 11 months ago

I know exactly how you feel.

Mattkx4 1 point 11 months ago

Ace331FTW [1 Build] 2 points 11 months ago

Wow, I had the top average in my middle school class three years in a row and you know what I got? A $25 Gift Card. -_- Anyways, I saved about $200 and I'm hoping my parents will spring enough money for a $900 build including monitor and OS. Nice job on your build!

Mattkx4 3 points 11 months ago

$900 is a lot of money I wouldn't get your hopes up. But then again I don't know your parents I know mine wouldn't :P

Ace331FTW [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

Yeah true but this is most likely going to be a Christmas present and will let me (and my sister) do schoolwork since we dont already have a desktop in the house. My sister cant exactly do photoshop for her photo class on her netbook. :P

Zynchronize [1 Build] 2 points 10 months ago

Consider getting a summer job? Thats what I did, saved up £1100~ for only 4 weeks work

Ace331FTW [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

Nothing I could do. My parents don't want me walking places because I don't exactly live in a perfect town, and I acnt mow lawns or something because my next door neighbors are landscapers. What did you do that you made £1100!? o_O

Zynchronize [1 Build] 2 points 10 months ago

I worked in a warehouse, moving items from A to B, £6.50 an hour - was hard work but worth it.

PCMan416 1 point 13 days ago

There's nothing I can do to earn money either, so i'm pretty much screwed.

TNTrocks123 [1 Build] 0 points 11 months ago

I only have $700 dollar budget. Probably gonna buy on black friday in November if I can, and build it during winter break or maybe on a weekend too. By the way I'm 13 too :)

cjeffcoatjr [3 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

I know exactly what you are saying. I am in the 8th grade, and my lowest grade ever was a 95. My reward? Wait... What reward?!?! This is why I am getting a job over the summer, to save up more for a build like this. I already have about $150.

PCMan416 1 point 13 days ago

My parents never reward me for good grades. :(

PCMan416 1 point 13 days ago

^ Me too.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

Lol teehee <3

Dreamin73 1 point 7 months ago

Everything over 90% myself I didn't get a single thing, but that is one amazing build, gotta go right my resume now :/

michaellimbong [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

Wow... My computer is also rewarded to me because of good grades...

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

Good grade buddies!!! :D

Thanks a lot! :)

ChrisClai1998 6 points 14 months ago

What guide did you follow to build this. Just curious :)

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 8 points 14 months ago

Well, during the actual process I did'nt watch a guide but before actually building I watched a lot. I would reccomend Linustecktips, Newegg, Raz0rtheworld, and UnknownLobster

PacificNic [2 Builds] 8 points 14 months ago

LinusTechTips, Newegg, razethew0rld * :) I can't wait til I have money so I can do something like this!

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

Whatever xD You know what I mean c: Save up! :D

b3dog [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Hey man I do YouTube and I am also building my new pc in a few days (I already have the money and the parts picked out). Once you start your channel please contact me and we can do collabs together. Also what games do you play?

Channel link: http://www.youtube.com/user/b3dog1

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Yeah sure! It'll be really fun! I play minecraft, bo2, bf3 and some others, but those are the main ones. Add me on skype: MapleCatzz also can I have parts link? I'm really interested in building computers and i just want to see it :D

b3dog [1 Build] 0 points 14 months ago

Cool, I will add you on Skype and here are the two builds I have in mind.

Youtube Build 1: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/b3dog/saved/1SlW Youtube Build 2: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/b3dog/saved/1Ijs

Build number 2 has an apu because it is cheaper than a video card, but because of that I don't want to put too much strain on the cpu so thats why there is an Avermedia Capture Card in there. Build number 1 does have a video card so thats why I don't need the Capture Card in there, I am thinking that I should go with 1 because I will get better fps in general on games. The Blue Snowball microphone will also be purchased because I need a mic that has less background noise. Windows 8 was chosen over Windows 7 because it is 1 dollar less and a dollar saved is a dollar earned. :D

Jensen117 0 points 14 months ago

For build number two why spend so much on a capture card when that build can't even output 1080p. Rule of thumb never get a low quality power supply. You'd be better off going towards build 1.

b3dog [1 Build] 0 points 14 months ago

Yeah I am not even going with that build, I actually decided today finally to go with this build #3. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/b3dog/saved/1RY2

Jensen117 0 points 14 months ago

Why not go with the hyper 212 plus? You only saved like 5 bucks on the cpu cooler and went for a worse one at that.

b3dog [1 Build] 0 points 14 months ago

Good point...

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

So, Here's what I would recommend! To go on Craigslist (or some local classifieds, here it's ksl classifieds) And buy a lightly used gaming monitor instead for a crap Acer monitor. I live of off classifieds! And see if you could save some money (Windows 8 was chosen over Windows 7 because it is 1 dollar less and a dollar saved is a dollar earned. :D)

b3dog [1 Build] 0 points 14 months ago

So your saying look for a used gaming monitor? I can do that.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 0 points 14 months ago

Yeah doesn't have to be gaming, just a really good one

ROODAY [1 Build] 0 points 14 months ago

Whoa, Acer isn't crap. At least mine isn't. I have an Acer H233H that my dad got for his work comp about 8-9 years ago. It still runs strong now with great contrast, at least compared to my laptop.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

Well I think Acer is poop :p

ROODAY [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Tsk Tsk. What brand do you like? (Hint: anything other than Asus is unacceptable lol)

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

Then... ASUUUSSS :DDDD (and some corsair)

ROODAY [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

Corsair makes monitors? Well I like Corsair as well, they make quality products.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

No they don't make monitors :( But there still awesome! :D

ROODAY [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Yeah, got my PSU and RAM from them, love em.

TheSwagMachine 1 point 14 months ago

What is your youtube channel I want to check it out. I am 15 and am building a pc for youtube as well. Almost have all the parts just saving up for a 780.

StewieMonSta [2 Builds] 3 points 14 months ago

If you are not running higher than 1929x1200 get a GTX 770, it should max all games fine with 60 fps on most games. Then in 3 years sell it ad upgrade when better GPU's are out.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

Well I'm making a montage soon but for right now I only have crap videos from my laptop// MapleCatzz

domon [1 Build] 1 point 4 months ago

So how about that montage

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 4 months ago

b3dog [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Yo whats your channel?

MrWhiteMacaroon [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Nice build, and that mic is awesome I hope you love that mic for the price, I have it also and hoping to get a nice build for youtube also!!!!!

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Yes! I'm adoring this mic! :D Hope your journey goes swell! :)

MrWhiteMacaroon [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Thanks, I started to work with a pvr for consoles, but its too much work, and I have to work with an iMac on top of that, I am just trying my best to save up for it with summer and all and good luck, and please don't torrent for anything, my friend got a virus from it and his google chrome won't work, nothing. Don't be like my friend, lol.

MrWhiteMacaroon [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Plus if you're bored and have no one to play with, add me on Skype, WhiteMacaroon, I can play some games with a ****** Mac lol

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Well I got an elgato for Christmas last year and I have to say it's really good! :D I really Like the rollback feature. Torrent? HAHAHAH It's my life :3 (kinda not really) But don't worry I won't jack up my pc to bad xD I'll be sure to add you. And my friend has an iMac and I must say. It sucks poop :p

Spiral350 1 point 14 months ago

ME WANTS THE YETI!!!!

MrWhiteMacaroon [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Get it, it's worth it

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Um... Ok? :D

StewieMonSta [2 Builds] 1 point 14 months ago

Nice build, love the GPU, i am also 13 and gonna build a PC with a 770, how did u get on with this build?

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

Thanks! GPU is amazing c: It can and WILL run everything at max settings. If your 13 as well you probably play minecraft and it'll run that with ULTRA shaders maxed everything at 60 fps! (probably higher cause my monitor is only 60 hz) Well I planned everything awhile ago just I wanted to wait for school to end so I could do something over the summer. So my mom saw my good grades and gave me money for this computer! :D

awilzman [3 Builds] 1 point 14 months ago

It's awesome you're getting into this at 13, I wish I knew about places like pcpartpicker when I was 13 XP Just wondering, how's the CPU cooler? I'm debating on either one of the Corsair liquid coolers or the EVO (money reasons)

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

Yeah I actually got the thought to build a PC at about 12ish but I never got around to it till now. Um... The CPU cooler is nice! :D Probably one of the main reasons I went with it because of how pretty it was... ya know. So I still don't know how to overclock... xD But I'll defiantly get around to it when I get everything set up. I wanted my build to be extremely ascetically pleasing so that's why I got the h100i.

nikolai0505 1 point 14 months ago

I'd get the EVO. I've never used the liquid cooler, but I have the evo and it has kept my temps drastically lower. Before CPU was 70 C. Now it never goes above 45 with some overclocking

JPKaizer [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

man kid I'm envious of your build and knowledge to know how to build an awesome machine at such a young age as I am barely learning the bells and whistles of building a PC lol

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 14 months ago

I'd like to thank my Grandpa for that one! xD only if he were still here :c

kenh536 [2 Builds] 1 point 14 months ago

I'm loving the color choices you went with. the subtle red pulls it together. Its too bad the define r4 has white pci covers and white drive bays. Although, if you ever wanted to make this build perfect, you could get some replacement pci covers and drive bays that are black or red, and maybe some corsair air series 120s for the fans. That would be soooo beautiful ;).

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

YUS! I colors are awesome. I also really wish that the front power LED was red and not blue also as you said, maybe dark red pci covers would be cool. Yeah I want Corsair sp 120 fans but I ran out of money xP

kenh536 [2 Builds] 1 point 14 months ago

I hear ya on the money aspect haha. I am thinking about trying to get some red leds to change out the blue power and reset lights on my elite 431+. They are the only thing that really bug me. OH btw you could always just paint the pci covers and bays for a budget solution. I just painted the front mesh on mine and I am really liking it.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

I suck at art. I took art while I was a sevie (going into eighth) I and suck! No idea what paint to use xD

kenh536 [2 Builds] 1 point 14 months ago

I just used some spraypaint. Good old rustoleum lol. Its not hard, just make sure the surface is clean, hold the can about 6-8 inches away from it and spray side to side lines like your reading a book. Left to right, release, left to right. Let it dry and do a couple coats and vioula! Painted. Spray paint is pretty cheap too, about $3-4 in my area.

nikolai0505 1 point 14 months ago

I like the build. I am a bit jealous my first (and still current) build I had a budget of $500...

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Thank you! c: Maybe try a 1k budget next time, my budget was going to be $650 but thanks to my mom, she decided to pitch in a bit! :D

Enlyten [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Fantastic build, and an outstanding job of color coordinating. Good luck with YouTube :) http://bit.ly/WDzFak

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Yeah thanks! I really appreciate it. :D It'll be a long journey on YouTube but I think I can pull it off! Nice pic ;)

smittypantz@hotmail.com [8 Builds] 1 point 14 months ago

Great job. Everything is balanced without sacrificing quality.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Yeah I tried to get everything perfect but still silent, and everything runs very quiet! :D

cam313 [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

I like this build a lot, I love it when people don't cheap out on motherboards.

I'm 14 =]

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Actually... I was gonna get a more expensive motherboard! xD (maximus vi hero) but I ran out of money :c Enjoy teenhood while you can! YOLO

sketch24 [6 Builds] 1 point 14 months ago

This build looks awesome.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Why thank you :D

appleroxinhouston 1 point 14 months ago

I built my first PC when I was 12 :D and I'm now 13 and wow you did a great job. I love those channels, too!

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Thank you :D those channels are amazing!

appleroxinhouston 1 point 14 months ago

Yup! I wish I had money for those parts... I only get an AMD FX-4170 (zambezi...ugh), and GTX 650, and the cheapest ddr3-1600 8gb ram that has heat spreaders. budget, buddy!

aragorn98 1 point 14 months ago

I am fourteen and you cannot begin to comprehend how jealous I am right now. I would to get all A+'s for my mom to even consider buying me a gaming PC. SO JEALOUS!!! I have to go to my friends house to 'revise' to get a descent PC gaming experience.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Wow fancy words set. Yeah, my mom is pretty much pure awesomeness but I did get all straight A's (we don't have a+ in my school) You must have a cool friend to have a decent gaming pc

XIHackInABoxIX [7 Builds] 1 point 14 months ago

Nice build, great choice of parts.

+1

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Why thank you! c: These parts are just too amazing :D

NinjaPleze 1 point 14 months ago

Really enjoyed the build. Looking at building something similar. I see you offset the H100i. Have any problems with that? It's crazy cause I almost picked out all the same parts you did. Here's my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1cRl1

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Have fun enjoying :) Yeah I had to offset the rad because of the clearance from the motherboard heatsinks and stuff but it'll fit just fine if you do what I did (yeah protip: put your cpu power pins first that saved my life and more) I like your pc I was gonna get that mobo but I said screw it, it's to much (I wanted it because it looked cool) Um... Get a larger power supply possibly I know you probably want it to look cool but I don't think it's enough to also overclock. There are some nice half modular psu's from corsair but i'll also recommend the one that I have. Here's what I would buy: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1d5cF

So I just changed the PSU, GPU, FANS, and SSD.

Why I changed them,

PSU- It's red and works really well with the stealth wires from antec it looks really nice.

GPU- More of an optional thing I just like gigabyte more than msi but just personal preference.

FANS-So I saw that you got 2 regular 140mm fans and two 120mm fans. So I'mm assuming that the 140mm fans are case fans so I just got you a pack of 2 really nice 120mm af series corsair fans (are also pretty) And then I'm assuming the 120mm fans are for a push config or to change the fans that the corsair h100i comes with, so you can nautrally light up the build. I got you these apevia fans but thats more of a personal preference.

SSD- I know corsair stuff is really nice and all but you can hardly see the ssd and you don't much more than the one I recommended you

So thats why I recommended you that build instead

NinjaPleze 1 point 14 months ago

Ya, I'm more of an Asus fan, but the MSI is red an overclocked so I thought why not. I have some MSI stuff and it works pretty good.

I want the hero because of all the features it comes with. Especially the onboard audio solution and the overclocking application looks phenomenal. I actually went with the red and black build to go with this board.

The 140s were to put in the front. and yes the 120s were for push pull. Was going to move the front 120 to the bottom and try to use all the fan slots.

If the H100i didn't fit in the top I was goin to move the hdd cage back to install the rad in the front which would mean i would lose the push pull and bottom fan and the 140s would go in the top but I don't really want the leds lighting up the outside of the case. So I'm glad to hear you can offset the rad. Especially since you're using the same ram I am using. So you think I can manage push pull?

The SSD you recommended seems nice, but I'm finding all (that I've found) under $100 come with lower sequential write speeds and this 120gb version is no exception.

You really think that PSU is gonna have problems? So 700w? Fans are also something I'm learning a little more about. trying to decide what I want.

Ummm... So right now I'm on the road, on my phpne , in the car about to go camping for today and coming back tomorrow. So sorry for all the next errors.

Well to start I totally agree with liking Asus more but o guess its an aesthetic kind of deal.

I agree with everything you said about the hero and its features one of theain reasons I want with a gigabyte board over an Asus board is cause I already have a externanal mixamp soundcard thingy that I got with my headset (astro a40)

So about the h100i and putting it in the front. I really doubt that you could put it in the front because I don't think the tubes would be long enough to actually reach the CPU, and if it fit the CPU clock would have to be sideways and it might interfere with the GPU. I really don't know if you could do push pull in this case but that'll take some research.

Ummm... So right now I'm on the road, on my phpne , in the car about to go camping for today and coming back tomorrow. So sorry for all the next errors Grab whatever sad you want. You know im not an enthusiast or whatever but the ssd is fine for me.

Last (finally my thumbs are really sore) the psu!!! :D. You can really do anything, just make sure its 600 watts or over and have a 80+ effeincy rating. Also the brand should be good like corsair seasonic antec and friends

FINALLY!!! :DDD Time to play Pokemon :D

Lol. Have fun. Gave you a few likes on your channel. Keep it up. Try to do something you really enjoy and be expressive. Your expression is what will make the difference between you and everyone else. You have one more subscriber.

I chose the Rosewill cause it's 80+ but I think you're right about the 600w.

I have seen a h100i mounted in the front but I'd rather mount it in the top. Really want to see if I can get push pull. Thanks for the feedback. Take caer.

smoralesdesigns [1 Build] 1 point 13 months ago

How did you offset the h100i? I have the same case and cooler coming in the mail, and only now see that the h100i has issues with the R4.

NinjaPleze 1 point 13 months ago

The people who have issues just don't pay attention. They are trying to mount it in the standard 120 slots but fractal built it so you can move the radiator over so that you screw in your rad into the mesh where it lines up with the 140s (away from the backboard).this gives you a couple of inches of clearance. You can see how he mounted it in his pictures. Pay attention to the screws and how they are not in the center of the mesh like the original 120s go. You can also pull at the front drive cage and push it back so that it sets over half the bottom fan mount and install a 120 rad in the front.

do you have any idea what the CPU temps are under load and idle? im curious as to how the H100i holds up, and some people reported noise with that cooler, hear any of that?

thanks

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 14 months ago

Ummm... So right now I'm on the road, on my phpne , in the car about to go camping for today and coming back tomorrow. So sorry for all the next errors.

BUT! To be honest I honestly don't know how to check xD If you tell me how to check I'll definitely give you them tomarrow

jeroen 1 point 14 months ago

you can use core temp(check it on google) to check temps and i don't know what a good programm to tress-test the CPU, i'll get back to you on that later :p

reaper0918 1 point 14 months ago

wow dude nice build. Im waiting for a while since the new graphics cards are coming out next year or so.

DARKZERO6933 [1 Build] 1 point 13 months ago

How do you like the RAM? Planning on buying it myself.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 13 months ago

Corsair branded, looks cool, runs at low temperature. What else could you ask for? :D

smoralesdesigns [1 Build] 1 point 13 months ago

How did you offset the h100i? I have the same case and cooler coming in the mail, and only now see that the h100i has issues with the R4.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 13 months ago

All you do is offset the rad, there will be different screw holes in the top that you can screw it in to but ,ale sure to plug your CPU power in first

Expo 1 point 13 months ago

Was getting the h100i to fit a pain? Im looking at getting that mobo, that case and the h220 for my next build and a lot of people say they cant get there radiators to fit up top but then i see other people fit theres up there.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 13 months ago

Well for me it wasn't, it just depends on the size of the rad and how big your mobo heat sinks are. You have to place it slightly to the left so that you will have more room from your mobo heat sinks. But fractal provides 2 mounting spots and you will want to use the one that's not centered. I'm not to sure if that water cooler will work but you just gotta check the dimensions of the rad. Sooo kind of complicated! :D Wish you the best to the road of building a pc! also plug in your cpu power first

bumpehh 1 point 13 months ago

The motherboard and the case are awesome, and go very well together in terms of looks.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 13 months ago

Thanks for the kind words! :D

ChaoticMatters 1 point 13 months ago

I'm trying to find parts to build my own gaming Pc and I'm ten! :D any advice? /ontopic Nice build. But I dont like the case that much...

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 13 months ago

Hello! :DD Advice? AHAHHAA I didn't have any xD But luckily you know about this website because I didn't and trust me it helps a lot. First tip check Youtube: NewEgg TV, LinusTechTips, Tek Syndicate, and UnknownLobster. Second, check around forums n' stuffs cause they will help you a lot. Now about the case, the main reason I went with it because how good the cable management options are and it fits my desk well. But knowing most cute fluffy 10 year olds you would probably want a NZXT Phantom 410 :P

malcar11 [3 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

Is a beautiful machine. Balanced and powerful. The video card took a lot from the budget but is pure value. For your first is very impressive!. I Built one with a Ci5 4670K too, but my budget was... different (ASUS Tablet took $249 from my budget hehehehe). Congrats!!.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

Why thank you :D I wuv wuv wuv my gpu. Couldn't be more happier :) You really needa upload pics of your build, lol c: But other than that it looks way good accept that psu looks kind of iffy. In the future I wanna add a bigger ssd and sleeved cables+ new psu as far as my build goes :) But I appreciate you giving feedback to my build c:

malcar11 [3 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

Yeah, I know the PSU is... well... Gonna change it for a Thermaltake 750 W 80 Plus or something like that, but now is working as I need it, and even better as I though. As a feedback, usually 1 SDD is enough to install OS and drivers. Additional storage device could be a good HDD 1 - 2 TB, to install our favorite games and keep music and videos safe. By the way, are you expecting Battlefield 4 as most of us? going to be epic!!! if so, hope to meet you there. Greetings!!

L7Mcmacdaddy 1 point 11 months ago

Ninety1Supreme 1 point 11 months ago

I usually play mc, css, and garry's mod. I'm gonna buy payday 2 after I get a gift card for steam.

WesleyWizard 1 point 11 months ago

I head liquid cooling can be hard to maintain and install. that true? :o

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

It just depends and all in ones require little to none maintenance :D if your using my case you may see clearance issues from your motherboard but I got lucky :)

Jnasseh7801 1 point 11 months ago

I'm 12 and I might build a computer soon, does the i5-4670k require a CPU Cooler or no?

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

Hellooooo! :D the 4670k comes with one but if you want want a better one you can buy an after market one :D but since its a k proccesser you may want to overclock so a aftermarket one will be required.

Jnasseh7801 1 point 11 months ago

I'm just going to use the stock one. $109 less. Also, what company did you buy all your parts from? I'm buying from NewEgg.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

At the time I bought it from Amazon since they were the only people who had everything then. But now I just build a PC for my uncle and the parts were from new egg. I would reccomend getting a cooler master hyper 212 evo

Jnasseh7801 1 point 11 months ago

Okay.

Nice bulid mate! Though I'd have gone for Asus motherboard instead of Gigabyte. (Personal Preferences) http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-z87pro or even http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-maximusvihero

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

Ty when I built this though those boards were out of my price range so I settled for gigabyte. :)

Wow. I need to get a computer cloning machine here now. I need dat computer.

In all seriousness, congrats on your first build, especially at 13.

Hey is that PSU good? I'm gonna build my first computer soon. Nice job with that rig btw.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

I sort of like the psu but I'd rather have a corsair. Thanks for the kind words :D

AJFerguson 1 point 10 months ago

No problem :). Hey I have one more question if you don't mind. Would you recommend that case?

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

Wuv it <3

Hello, how do you connect the fans to the built in fan controller in the Define R4 case?

Thanks.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

It has a molex and 2 or 3 (I forgot) and fan connectors that you just plug in.

StewieMonSta [2 Builds] 1 point 9 months ago

Thanks, I think I get it :D

DHG 1 point 10 months ago

Hey Maple, do you think I should build this PC except with a Corsair 750D?

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

Maybe switch out the psu for a corsair one but go for it :D

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

Nah man I dig constructive criticism and respect chu for all the time you put in for a comment

Anyway I love playing in high frames (and I have a good monitor) and at the time the Nvidia 700 series just came out so I wanted to try it, anyway if I were to build it today I would've gotten a R9 290x.

I wanted a color theme that looks cool (for my first build) and the board also just came out because haswell also just came out! (a lot of things came out at the time) anyway it was the only red board I liked out. (also I thrust Gigabyte more than MSI)

The H100i was to look clean and if I ever needed too, overclock.

Power supply fit in budget and was red. (also semi-modular)

I like more of a elegant look rather than a NZXT case and wanted it silent also.

I like the cpu and I'm more of a Intel person, but I build a AMD one for my uncle.

Ram just came out also (I like new stuff)

Minecraft- 200 FPS Max+ shaders

I like your build also, it seems like you've learned a lot :D

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

No hurt feelings, I spent probably a good 2 years researching for my parts. (Since I was 11) the way I've always been is I want the newest, most reliable, highest end, highest performing things. Even if that means spending extra. Also I'm a neat freak so I want the cleanest looking system as possible. That's why I chose these parts :)

Nice job for a 13 year old, way ahead of your age group lmao

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

why lol ty

Weak1ings 1 point 9 months ago

Very nice build. Quite expensive (More than needed) but all parts are quality. I have a GTX 660 on my 5 year old rig (Q6600 2.4 Ghz CPU) and it can generally max out everything but DayZ (I wonder why ;) If you can't afford a more expensive card, I'd highly recommend the GTX 660

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

Ty, I wanted the 770 cause it was the newest. At the time 760 hadn't come out

TheRockit5 1 point 9 months ago

Wow. I am certainly impressed. I thought I was young for building my own computer, and I'm 17! Of course, I was influenced when I was younger trying to play PC games with a really bad computer, and all my friends were enjoying these games without me. So I got into researching different components of a computer and I set out to build my own computer that I know could handle just about anything. I was given a $1000 budget :D and was quite pleased with the result. The only complaint I have is that I bought my GTX 660 for $250 a week before the GTX 700 series was released. The price of the 660 went down to about $200 and the 760 was $250. >.< Oh well, my computer still runs current games at around 60 fps. :D Even though my build is only a couple of months old, I want to build a miniITX computer, because my mid size tower build is taking up too much space and it full of nothing. :/ Plus I never plan on going SLI anyways, so one really really good graphics card is suffice. :P Right now all the parts add up to around $1100.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

:D Sweet story c:. I started building because I was stuck gaming on a laptop all the time.

TheRockit5 1 point 9 months ago

:o Same here! I got a HP "gaming" laptop, as in the only thing it could handle was very light gaming and movies with its integrated GPU. When new games started rolling out that all my friends were buying and I was stuck with 20 FPS playing Minecraft (if I was lucky), I decided enough was enough.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

yeah, and I thought laptops where just as strong as pc's xD

TheRockit5 1 point 8 months ago

I though so as well, and some of them are, but usually cost at least twice as much than building your own computer with more processing power. :P

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 8 months ago

I wanted to save money for beefier gpu. Everyone say buy i7, I say no

bio4554 1 point 9 months ago

Very cool. I am also 13 and going to build my own rig, with an i7-3770 and a GTX 770.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

sweet, I want that i7 lol

[comment deleted]

TheRockit5 1 point 8 months ago

I would only get an i7 for the fact that I can say I have an i7. i5s vs i7s have very little difference between them if you're gaming, because most games don't support the hyper-threading that i7s have over i5s. The only advantage I know of that hyper-threading has is when you are editing videos or super-intense applications. But if you're only playing games and not doing any major video-editing, than an i5 will do just fine, plus save $100. (Plus, I think you can just take an i7 sticker and stick it on and say it's an i7.) :P

NeonMane 1 point 8 months ago

Where'd you get the money?

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 8 months ago

mom and my own, for getting good grades and stuffs

EpicOtis13 1 point 8 months ago

I'm getting a 4770k and a 780 ti good enough? Ps I'm 13 as well

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 8 months ago

lol very extreme, also 4770k might be overkill if your only gaming

TheRockit5 1 point 8 months ago

To answer you question, yes. That combo is amazing. The 4770k being very good, and the 780 Ti being the most powerful graphics card on the market, (Yup, it beats the Titan.) If money is a problem, I would recommend the 4670k and possibly the non-Ti version of the 780 or even a 770.

madness7125 1 point 8 months ago

JUST a 128gb SSD is going to run out fast, so I hope you have a 1TB HDD 7200rpm somewhere. Other than that, good build :)

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 8 months ago

Yeah I have a 3tb hard drive I just didnt post it.

GMAN-DV8 1 point 8 months ago

I Like this build alot, but i was wondering how is the airflow in this case? is it good?

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 8 months ago

yeah its very silent, can barely hear it, but my psu sounds like a vacuum when i turn it on. idk why, but the case is great and i would definitely recommend it.

azherie 1 point 7 months ago

Very good build lathough the ssd, you could have got a cheaper one, sandisk is usually a camera based company, probably not optimised for gaming and the 2GB gpu, for that price you could have gone for a good 3GB or a low 4GB.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

built this a while ago, now that I look back I would change some stuff, that speaking I do only need 2 gb because im not multi-monitor gaming or anything. probably would change the psu, and ssd. although the ssd is good, i probably want a larger size one or so. also i would like to upgrade the i5 to an i7. besides that i'm happy with everything.

PlasmaBlazer 1 point 7 months ago

pramoohot 1 point 6 months ago

im quite surprised that at the age of 13 you built it yourself.i mean in india,we guys study all time...we dont get much hands on projects or hands on work.im now 22 and i didnt build anything till now...i just have a laptop hp probook 4410s which is somewhat low config intel c2duo p8700 integrated memory(64 mb)gm45 chipset and 1244 shared system memory,no dedicated graphics,3 gb ram(expandable 8gb)......i mostly play dota2(my lap wont play it,cuz of it i had to spend my money to a gaming centre),assassins creed series(only 1 and 2(lag) cud be played on my lap and from brotherhood i cant handle this)and elder scrolls skyrim(heavy lag if i start this on my lap)......its been 3 1/2 years with this laptop..so im gonna say gudbye to it and decided to build a new gaming desktop pc myself...im a total newbie when it comes to hardware but can handle software things...so i want some good links or books suggested by you....we dont have good facilities up here in india for mail in rebates or orders...but i have a few websites which are offering good in india too....so want a good links or books rather than youtube....to know the basics and i dont know much about builds ...so your gaming rig build is more than efficient for the games i play? (im not ashamed to ask a kid who is younger than me by 9 years...lel....cuz i think you know well how to build a gaming rig by yourself)....congos...it is looking awesome by the way

ty pal, so did you study in india, i've been to vietnam and there are hardly any computers. i would imagine it would be the same thing in india. but thanks for the kind words man c:

pramoohot 1 point 6 months ago

im an indian actually...was referring this website for a good build.....so,coming to the point...can you confirm that one can play dota2,assassins creed series, skyrim at high or little down than ultra settings on your pc build?

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 6 months ago

nah, IN ULTRA SETTINGS >:D

ghostroaster5 1 point 6 months ago

I'm planning on making a build with the Define R4 and the H100i. Since you have, how did you mount the H100i? I'm going to replace the fans in it, so... you know.... Is it possible to remove the moduvents on top? Thanks. :)

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 6 months ago

I must admit, I got pretty lucky with the rad placement. It all depends on your motherboard and how big the heatsinks are on it. I didn't do any research on this ahead of time, I almost made a big mistake. But, it's confirmed that the UD4H mobo works with this case. I would do research ahead of time with the motherboard and R4 ahead of time.

BossingBros 1 point 6 months ago

Thanks maple I have looked at your gaming computer. Its pretty damm good. But what is the I5 like for uploading to YouTube and also I have a very budget graphic card but will be upgrading. How many FPS do you got on cs and minecraft I would be playing both. Also do you think the motherboard is alright for money. I just turned 13 this February so yep same age. One last thing is what is your YouTube channel would really like to check you out. THANKS

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 6 months ago

ai, i5 doesnt really matter for uploading YouTube vidoes the only thing that matters when uploading is your internet speed. I would get a cheap motherboard if you dont care about looks, thanks. also happy birthday c:

BossingBros 1 point 6 months ago

Thanks the motherboard which. I am looking at is 70 Pounds. Also could you check out my post

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 6 months ago

BossingBros 1 point 6 months ago

Yes I am planning on gaming why. Does the I5 overheat much. I already have a graphics card. So that's. Why ist no on the. Post

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 6 months ago

what graphics card is it do you know?

BossingBros 1 point 6 months ago

James710 1 point 5 months ago

Yea I figured :( lol

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 5 months ago

just wonderin have you built a pc yet? it's definitely superrrrr fun :D

James710 1 point 5 months ago

I have asked my dad to let me get a new one and build it but he says I have the best pc on the market I5 2500k and readon 6000 series but that's not true because I have made a cheaper one that is even better just incase he caves in on my idea http://pcpartpicker.com/user/James710/saved/ mine is 5 years old and it's so slow. Yes I have build one. Sorta. I took a old one apart and put it back together I guess that counts lol

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 5 months ago

lol, i like your name: super expensive build that no one will use because it's to swag and over priced. the 2500k is pretyy meh. if i'm not mistaken the new maxwell processors are coming out soon. i'm not very up to date with the new stuff, but, i bet you could convince him if you get good grades :D

James710 1 point 5 months ago

Good luck with that! I'm a c average an he thinks I'm an A student. It sucks. I don't know about the maxwell I just look at the ones that are out now. Yea I know I was tired and had nothing else to do!

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 5 months ago

having a c average sucks :( i've always been a 4.0 student, i guess it's because i'm asian. eh, i'm not sure when they're refreshing the 1150 socket.

James710 1 point 5 months ago

Yea I know. Ha Asia! 4.0 is double my score lol I know know why either they need a 6 core I5

Udneedamiracle 1 point 5 months ago

This is a very nice build, however, I would have done a few things differently.

I personally wouldn't have gone with an i5 4670k to match that graphics card. I think an i5 4570 would have been a better choice because it is cheaper and almost performs the same at stock speeds. With the graphics card chosen, I don't think you will NEED to overclock to avoid bottlenecking. Doing this would have also allowed you to save $100 on the cooler and just use the intel stock air cooler.

Doing this would have also made a z87 motherboard unnecessary because you wouldn't have been able to overclock, and you likely could have saved $100 on your motherboard.

Corsair Vengeance is very good RAM, but for gaming, any 1600mhz RAM at 8gb would do, so I think I would've chosen something about $15 cheaper.

I personally prefer samsung solid state drives, though I suppose that is just my preference. I believe (but I am not going to say I am or am not correct) that samsung SSDs read/write faster.

For the video card I would've chosen a different brand. Asus makes nice graphics cards, though for example, EVGA, has a much better warranty policy, they have the step up program, they come with higher factory clock speeds, and they are generally cheaper.

For the case I would have gone with the antec three hundred illusion. That case is only $65, and it has plenty of space and expandability options. It's only disadvantage is that it doesn't have USB 3.0 on the front panel.

I think you could have saved yourself about $350 all around on this build, which would have actually been enough to get a gtx 780 ti graphics card in there for the same price. That would net you about 30 more frames per second in a lot of games, and you'd have had an extra gigabyte of vram incase you wanted to use a multiple monitor setup.

This is a very nice build, and I'm sure it performs wonderfully. My criticisms are based off of current pricing, and I'm not sure how much you could have actually saved at the time of purchasing this computer, so keep that in mind.

This is a sick build, but I think I would've chosen to go a slightly different route on some of the components in the name of cost efficiency. Happy building.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 5 months ago

thanks for taking your time to write this. note: at the time the prices were higher because a bunch of stuff just came out like: new haswell processors and the new 700 nvidia cards.

i really like the 4670k because i can overclock it, so when i am video editing i can just ramp it up a little bit. i really like the h100i because it's closed loop and that means no maintenance c: another plus to the h100i is that it looks really pretty, i liek pretty :D

because the haswell lineup just came out most of the new motherboards were z87. i wanted a red color scheme. also, i wanted gigabyte because i might want to hackintosh my pc in the future.

corsair vengeance pro ram just came out, also it was a good bargain at the time, also it fit the red color scheme.

i also prefer samsung ssds, sadly the evo came out like a week later when i ordered my parts.

i like the asus cards becuase they have use nice coolers and a nice color scheme. :D

i really like the fractal design define r4 because its silent but violent. the case is something i would pay more for because it's what everyone see's when they walk into the room.

now i'm sure this build is a lot cheaper, but at the time it was a steal :D

happy building

-koyo

Udneedamiracle 1 point 5 months ago

Yeah, like I said,I have no idea what prices were like when you ordered. Also, obviously the more you pay the more quality components you get. I'm sure there isn't a nicer case for a lower cost and I'm sure that paying for more reliable RAM or things like that pays off. I was just suggesting that if I built it, I'd have tried to make it as low cost as possible because things like water cooling aren't even needed unless you're trying to crack 4.5ghz on an overclock. I'm usually working with a pretty limited budget and it makes it hard to justify, for my own personal use, adding things like water cooling.

I'm actually about to build a new PC, and deciding my parts is killing me. Working with an $800 budget but trying to make sure the parts I get aren't obsolete in a month and will perform well in what I do is a real struggle. Anyways, thanks for taking the time to reply. Have a nice day.

Im 14 and am about to do my first build with a 7870 ghz. I saved all of the money myself. I was looking on here for recomendations right after i purchased a PS4 and found this. you gave me insperation to build a PC and now im here about to do my own build log and hopefully make it look as good as yours. Thanks Maple and nice build. +1

Just asking, but how's the case? My friend went with fractal design and he loved it but another friend also went with FD and said the case sucked :/ cuz I'm having doubts.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 1 month ago

i really like mine, the only thing that i would see wrong is water cooling compatibility

TheBali 1 point 1 month ago

Hey, don't know if you still read those messages, but I'll try anyways...

How's the mobo going after one year? I'm thinking about getting the same as yours, but I've read reviews where people said bad things started to happen after a while...do you have anything to say against your motherboard?

It's the only part missing for my new PC, already got the same case as you (it's huge :D) and the same processor.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 1 month ago

lol ikr the case when i first got it was like wow. i didnt realize how big it would be :) the mobo is still holding up after a year, been gaming on it for 6 hours a day, so i would say it's good.

TheBali 1 point 1 month ago

Hey, glad to hear your build is doing great. Did you had any trouble with cable lengths? Because right now I'm strugling with cables coming from the case. They just seem too far from the mobo...my guess is I'm doing something wrong, but I just can't see what.

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 1 month ago

sorry for late response (on vacation)

what psu do u have, no problems on cable legnth.

why :(? that is awesome

Fennex 1 point 1 month ago

14-year-old here, planning to build the same. I'm getting it because my current laptop can't handle my coding and Photoshop programs for school and such. It's kind of a reward, kind of a curse (gaming pun ftw). Anyways, how are all of the parts holding up? Can it max out League of Legends, Smite, DotA, CoD, BF4, anything among those lines?

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 1 month ago

sorry for late response (on vacation)

just ordered new parts, get ready for new build! :D the parts have been great, no probs at all m8. maxes out all of those games u just posted!

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 25 days ago

lol thanks

metherul 0 points 11 months ago

I would recommend get a Radeon graphics card, simply because they are more overclockable, since they usually have better cooling systems (bigger fans etc.) I would also recommend to go cheap and much rather get a small SSD for the operating system, and then get a 72000 RPM hard drive. P.S. Sorry, I wrote this like if you were going to build another PC. Good job on the PC. -Metherul

Maple [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

Asus is known for making some of the best after market cooler out there. I'm not a big fan on amd cards or amd in general . If you read my bio right it says I have a 3tb segate hard drive that is 7200 rpm. Also have you even ever build a pc before?

TheRockit5 1 point 9 months ago

I agree with Maple here. I had a 7870 in my first build, and that thing kept giving me blue screens. I purchased a GTX 660 and I love everything about it, especially since it uses a lot less power. :D

pjay109 1 point 5 months ago

Hey! I'm new to building pcs. Ever since ibwas 11 to now. "24" I've had two comouters built for me. They built it right in front of me but I lost the knowledge of what goes where. But that's the least if my worries due to everything being accessible as in YouTube or com outer friendly forums. I just wanted to shoot out there if this build is good enough to play starctaft 2, Diablo , csgo. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/pjay109/saved/47yJ

Udneedamiracle 1 point 5 months ago

Sure, that build would work, but give me a few moments and I will come up with a build for you that would be much more cost efficient. (I may change brands of parts because for example, starcraft 2 and diablo benefit more from having more efficient cores rather than more total cores, so in that case, intel > nvidia).

pjay109 1 point 5 months ago

Omg. Thank you so much. I truly appreciate it. I just need an effiecient semi beastly rig . Nothing over kill but for surely a great gaming pc.

pjay109 1 point 5 months ago

you already did it. Ahaha sorry. I thought u were two different people. I'll check it out right now.

Udneedamiracle 1 point 5 months ago

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Udneedamiracle/saved/482K

There you are. Switched CPU to one with better core for core performance (the games you listed aren't going to even use beyond four cores, even if you had them).

Removed cooler as intel i5 stock cooler included with cpu will do fine since you won't be overclocking.

Switched motherboard to match socket type, checked it for compatibility with other parts.

Switched RAM to a brand I consider more reliable.

Switched to a better SSD for the money.

Included a 1tb HDD

Switched to more reasonably priced case that comes with 3 fans (you won't need to buy extra)

Switched to same gpu but a brand that cools better and has a higher clock speed for a better price.

Chose appropriate power supply.

Saved you over $300. To be totally honest, if I was you, and those were all the games you wanted to play, I would drop the graphics card even further to the lowest priced gtx 760 with 5 star ratings you could find. Even the GTX 760 can average 40ish frames per second on battlefield 4, and those games are much less graphically intensive than battlefield 4. On CS GO and Diablo I think you'll be getting several hundred FPS more than you need. Even if you wanted to play other games, I would think you're better off going with a 760 and maybe putting that money into an i7 4770k with a z87 chip motherboard and a cooler master hyper 212 evo aftermarket cooler.

Just my opinion, your money, spend it how you'd like.

pjay109 1 point 5 months ago

Yea I was actually thinking I might be going overkill... Especially with 1300$+ . I've been doing a lot of research and it lead me to amd fx8350 best bang for your buck . But I've read that the i5 is better at consistent fps. Thanks for your opinion though. So it is possible to build a great gaming rig under 1200$?

pjay109 1 point 5 months ago

I took a look at the specs. It's says on the bottom that the case is incompatible with the motherboard. I can't be really specific because I'm checking through my phone. I appreciate the help but can you please kindly explain ?

Udneedamiracle 1 point 5 months ago

It claims an imcompatibility because the front panel doesn't have usb 3.0 slots on the case but the motherboard has 3.0 headers. It just means you'd have to reach around the back of the pc for usb 3.0. If you wanted 3.0 on the front panels, you'd have to pay probably at least $40 extra.

pjay109 1 point 5 months ago

Oh okay. I'm totally fine with that. I prefer the usb being in the back anyways. Bro thank you so much. I'm unsure of how to +1 you. But I will go with this build. In your opinion this build is fairly easy to do as a first time builder? Nothing too complicated.?

Udneedamiracle 1 point 5 months ago

Generally, building any computer goes about the same way unless you are adding water cooling or using a dual graphics card setup. Yes, that build is relatively easy. Just watch some youtube videos on a whole assembly, and watch videos of each part being done individually. Since this is the first time for you, I recommend an anti static wrist strap be used while working on your pc parts to ensure you don't ruin anything with electrostatic discharge. Keep that in mind. Happy building.

Also, like I said, you may be even further able to save yourself money if those are all the games you're playing. Even the gtx 750 ti averages 35 fps on ultra battlefield 4, and it's like $170 cheaper.

metherul -1 points 11 months ago

Im thirteen too, its not hard to pick out good parts, and then build a PC. (For all the haters)
