The Psychedelic Machine!

Description

This Build came about cause of my old Asus Crosshair IV Formula board dying on me RIP

So the Idea for this build started out as Black and Green, But thought how many people have done just 2 colors. I wanted something a little different so I decided to go with black, red, green as the main colors along with an NZXT Hue RGB Lighting for more colors as it has a mode that cycles through multiple colors.

bad to the ass. this is awesome bro.

HoneyBadgerjr [Submitter] [8 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

Thank you sir :)

SparkyOnPC 1 point 10 months ago

Not a problem at all, I'd water cool mine but I would rather not have the chance at damaging a $700 GPU.. lol

HoneyBadgerjr [Submitter] [8 Builds] 2 points 10 months ago

There really isn't a huge risk as long as you use Non Conductive liquid and cover everything with towels or something while leak testing.

flyboy86 1 point 10 months ago

Th extreme overclocking forum has a good beginners guide to water cooling. If you go down to #15 leak test they explain how to jumper your psu to turn on when it's not connected to the motherboard.

HoneyBadgerjr [Submitter] [8 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

Yes this makes it extremely easy to get your air bubbles out without having to turn it on and off. Or they sell premade 24pin connectors with a switch on it, I got mine for like $5 I think, well worth it.

Sylvercreed 1 point 2 months ago

Non conductives become conductive after being exposed to the materials in the piping and radiator for long enough. Trace amounts of metal and other things come into the water and turn it conductive.

skemble [17 Builds] 4 points 10 months ago

Badass modding and liquid cooling work!

HoneyBadgerjr [Submitter] [8 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

+1 and many more if I could!

HoneyBadgerjr [Submitter] [8 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

Thank you sir :)

RyneSmith [7 Builds] 3 points 10 months ago

Np! This deserves many compliments as it is a high end build and something you put much more effort into than just assembling

HoneyBadgerjr [Submitter] [8 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

Lol honestly the assembly (including filling) Took me about 3 hours to do cause I had to get it finished for a mod competition :D Some parts showed up the day of so it was a bit of a squeeze xD

RyneSmith [7 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

Well even more props to you! Just checked out the new pictures, just wow man very nice

HoneyBadgerjr [Submitter] [8 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

Looks awesome. The green, red, and black scheme works.

HoneyBadgerjr [Submitter] [8 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

Thank you sir :)

Mediciu5 [2 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

Good looking. I especially like the choice of green. I do have one question. Why the wood painted black vs sheet metal or something similar?

HoneyBadgerjr [Submitter] [8 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

Wood is super easy to work with, without having to have certain tools for plastic or metal. Also when people looked at it in person they didn't even know it was wood :)

Mediciu5 [2 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

Heck, that's awesome. Any problems with heat that you wouldn't see with metal?

HoneyBadgerjr [Submitter] [8 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

No adding in the panels doesn't effect the cooling at all.

sqielyr 1 point 10 months ago

Christmas time already?

How do you like the 2700k? I'm thinking of getting one and want to know how it performs compared to that of an AMD fx 8250 octo core processor?

HoneyBadgerjr [Submitter] [8 Builds] 1 point 14 days ago

the 2700k is an older i7 but it still kicked ass, I would suggest getting a newer i7 though
