Description

My new apu build went with A8 5600k instead of A10 5800k cause it went over my budget (medium settings gaming) . So far I am loving this build but one down side is the stock cooling fan which is not so good...if you got any suggestions how to lower the fan noise please you are most welcome to comment :)

Hopefully next summer I will upgrade this build add a dedicated GPU like 7870 or the new R-270X

Details
AMD A8-5600K 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Clock Rate3.6GHz
CPU Temperature While Idle35.0° C
CPU Temperature Under Load55.0° C

Great budget build! I'd recommend looking around for a 7870 (if anyone is selling them) come summer time, you should be able to pick up a great deal from somewhere like eBay.

Get a CM Hyper 212 EVO. It's thirty bucks and effective for the price.

so the cm hyper evo is quite ?

Yes, it is very silent. I have used it in over 5 builds so far. It can be a little bit tricky to place the first time however, but nothing too difficult.

Very nice budget PC you built there, worth the +1 from my side!

Little tip from me: the RAM you are using is capable of overclocking, maybe you should look into that as AMD APUs really like fast (high MHz) RAM. I don't know if your motherboard is capable though.

Basically what he said; quiet and effective. Glad I could help!

What do you mean by Intel barely pulls it off? The APU is from AMD

Intel doesn't make APUs. They just have integrated graphics in their chips so yes those are going to be for everyday uses

AMD's APUs are much better for gaming than Intel's integrated graphics on their CPUs. An APU can play BF4 on low/med settings from what I've seen

This and this and this. So yeah, AMD's integrated graphics are much better than Intel's. The tradeoff is power, temperature, and CPU performance.

Yeah did a bit more research, was tired and came of retarded thanks I guess I learn things every day and again sorry if I came off rude.

Electrospeed 1 point 8 months ago

It's all good. I was once uneducated about such things, but I learned :)

Havent done much research on APU's just thought they were general dedicated gpus on cpus like intels other than that my pc knowledge is pretty much sufficient.
