This is my build of rediculousness that I use to get a conversation started with customers looking for a gaming machine. I inform them that this is what others would try to sell them that they would never need, and we go from there.

It was fun to build, and really is insanely powerful, but there's no real reason for it other than to show off...which is exactly what it's for...to be a boutique rig.

The case and power supply are both ridiculously giant.

You should of went with the EVGA supernova nex1500-Watt Power supply. Its OVER CLOCKABLE 150watts. Just kidding. Nice build though. I don't care if that is overkill. I want it. Just to say I have it.

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 1 point 29 months ago

I was surprised that the power supply was actually on the list as a tier 1 unit. I guess the Ultra X3 series were very reputable and well made, which can't be said for the X4 units which are 4th and 5th tier.

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 1 point 1 month ago

As a follow up on this, the power supply is still running strong after much abuse.

only turn off is the white interior. if it was black, it wouldve been so smexy ;) i really like the tri sli :P where is your store located?

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 2 points 29 months ago

Yeah, would have liked a black powder coat finish on the inside as well, but I got the case dirt cheap for a full tower since they were discontinuing it. The shop is located in Cincinnati, OH.

This is a monster rig... Holy Potatoes!!

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 1 point 29 months ago

Exactly the reaction my customers have. They then follow it up by saying something like, "OK, seriously, I need a computer."

Steverl22 [1 Build] 2 points 29 months ago

Wonderful rig!

How many years would a PC like this be able to play games at max settings before it starts having trouble?

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 1 point 19 months ago

While nothing in life is ever completely predictable, I'd likely warranty the unit for 5 years given the quality of the components. While the PSU is an Ultra make, and generally not known for quality, this specific unit is a tier 1 power supply, something I was surprised to discover. The only thing that concerned me about the original build (as pictured in an Ultra Case) was airflow, but that has been taken care of by moving the parts into an Antec 1200 case.

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 1 point 19 months ago

Also, while 3 cards makes it 3 times as likely one of them will fail, the triple SLI setup here is so overkill games barely put a load on the GPUs, even at Ultra settings.

rhandyrhoads [5 Builds] 1 point 26 months ago

Amazing build but wouldnt those cables all over the place restrict the air flow of the case fans.

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 1 point 26 months ago

The case has since been upgraded to an Antec 1200, which has far better cable management than the pictured case.

rhandyrhoads [5 Builds] 2 points 26 months ago

Thank you my mind can now rest knowing that beast pc doesn't have cables all over the place.

It's a stimulus package to be certain. Obama eat your heart out!

Read a couple comments up, the cable management has been remedied since the build was done in a new case. The old case didn't allow for much management. The question remains, however, why such a crap attitude when posting comments?

pcbuilder 1 point 23 months ago

If it is just for showing off why such bad cable management?!? It looks bad more than it restricts airflow so I assume it will not look good for customers.

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 2 points 23 months ago

did you read all the comments?

Enlyten [1 Build] 1 point 22 months ago

Really good parts, but no cable management?

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 1 point 22 months ago

read a few comments up. =)

Enlyten [1 Build] 2 points 22 months ago

Oh thank Jesus. I couldn't sleep knowing that a computer like that was unorganized.

Daemon9994 1 point 21 months ago

is this price GPU included ?

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 1 point 21 months ago

No, once products become unavailable the site doesn't price them anymore, so they aren't included in the cost.

candy [2 Builds] 1 point 21 months ago

Why did you get an HEC case for a showroom build? A Corsair case or something would have looked better imo.

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 1 point 21 months ago

It now resides in an Antec 1200

sethi 1 point 20 months ago

wait... can it play minesweeper?

BloodyReaper213 1 point 19 months ago

Would I be able to run this PC without 3 video cards and just have 2?

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 1 point 19 months ago

BloodyReaper213 1 point 19 months ago

Do you have any fans or water coolers that you would recommend for this build? If I were to build this, I would run it most of the day, every day. So I would imagine I would need some sort of way to cool it down...

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 1 point 19 months ago

I think a water cooler would be overkill for this build. The case fans provide good airflow and the CPU fan does an excellent job of keeping the processor cool. It is designed for up to 130W processors and the one in this build is only 80W.

The fans used in this build are as follows

2x Rosewill 120mm case fans (intake in the front exhaust in the rear) http://bit.ly/5QG3Gg

1x Cooler Master TX3 (CPU Fan) http://bit.ly/4mWRWa

I love you. All I can say is: lol home premium.

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 3 points 29 months ago

Only went with 16GB of ram...why go with a more expensive copy of windows?

Radicult [2 Builds] 0 points 18 months ago

Just remember, no matter what, it's still a top mount psu system....

CCASystems [Submitter] [33 Builds] 1 point 17 months ago

Not anymore...if you read the comments you'd know it's in an Antec 1200 case now. So no matter what it is a top mount PSU system...unless it isn't... =)

Radicult [2 Builds] 1 point 17 months ago

Lol, my bad! I still like, but me and some friends always joke about top mounts!
