Description

This is my latest build. I've been working on my machine over the years and this is the latest iteration. All parts worked out swimmingly with each other! I normally go with an EVGA board but in an effort to save some money I went with ASRock. Not disappointed at all. i7 is great. Picked up the SSD not too long after the build was complete (newegg sale!) and man was that an upgrade. I have my OS, games, and major programs on it with room to spare.

A lot of the stuff was left over from previous builds: Power supply, monitor, keyboard, mouse, case, 3 HDD's (not the SSD and 2TB drive).

OC'ed the i7 to 4.5 no problem. Looking to push to 4.8 at some point, but I just haven't had the time to. Haven't had the time to OC the Graphics card either.

No pictures as of yet, will upload when I can.

EDIT Pictures Uploaded!

1300W POWER SUPPLY?!?! Other than that pretty good.

Hey! Look! You posted this 9 months ago! I just now saw it! Hooray for not checking this site!

I have a justification for that PSU. I won it from EVGA a couple years back. I had a corsair 850W that I was using for a while that I loved but a fried bought it off me because he was in need of one and, well, I had the one that I won. More than enough power, sure, but I didn't have to buy one! I figured, if I had it, might as well use it!

One thing I really like about your build is the cable management, how is the case overall? I'm doing a new rig for myself soon and this is my top contender for now, so honestly, what are some pros and cons? Thanks!

Oh look! You posted this 7 months ago and I'm just now getting around to checking my comments on this build! That's what I get for not checking this site.

If it matters still, I love the case. I'll bust out some pros and cons for you.

Pros: Huge! Lots of room to work with. Stock fans seem to work well and are fairly quiet. Looks great. Good cable management possibilities. (I especially liked the fan plugin on the "hidden" side. Could plug in like 7 fans with only one power source). I like the orientation of the drive bays, no having to snake wires through everywhere. The SD card slot on the front was a plus for me.

Cons: HUGE! Which means it sure is heavy once you get it full. Can see finger smudges easily due to all the plastic. (Keep a rag handy to keep it looking nice if those bother you!) I thought the filters were removable for easy cleaning but mine are permanently on the piece they are attached to. One fan seems to be already giving out on me after only about a year of moderate use.

Not much else to report. Cons are pretty minor gripes. Case is working out just fine so far! I would recommend it!

Thanks! I actually am just finishing up my build in a Corsair 350D, but I will for sure keep this case in the back of my head for future builds!
