Description

Don't mind the messy desk, Haven't been upto par on my cleaning. Parts were ordered around Oct 31st, been too lazy to put it up. All parts were bought parts from Amazon & Newegg.

-Took about 3 hours to put together, cable management wasn't bad, could've been better though.. It's been a while. Grabbed Windows 8 thanks to the girlfriend's Dreamspark college hook-up, have a 7 CD just in case I want to revert, but for the most part with classic shell, I have no trouble with 8.1.

System runs all games smooth as butter, fan can get loud on the GPU with some games on max though. (Sleeping dogs,Saints Row 3/4,.etc) Haven't had any lag issues as of yet. (350+ fps on League of Legends)

Currently, all i've been doing is heavy gaming, but I'm planning to touch some music production. I've been thinking about getting blue LED fans for the front and the extra slot up top, not putting one on the side-door, as I believe it may mess with the airflow and bring in dust.

  • I Wanted to hold out for black Friday/cyber Monday but I needed a rig, fast. I've just about had it with low-end laptops. Using a old 720p monitor I had laying around and stock gateway speakers. Will upgrade when I can. Had the Phantom GreenDrive 1.5tb external laying around, just figured i'd plug it in. SSD was prepurchased, so I have not added the price. The mouse & keyboard fit the black & blue theme perfectly. The mic is an Audio-Technica AT2020, had it forever, fits well also.

  • Wanted the 770 but as of my time of purchase, I just went with my budget. (7870 myst was around $150-ish) All in all, I like how this came out, aside from the occasional GPU fan noise, I'm satisfied.

What temps do you get at 100% load?

Wow. My NH U14S with two fans performs at about that temperature.

I have the same case and I'm considering getting the same CPU cooler. It looks massive though. Is it pretty much against the the display window? Thanks.

Jack.

Sorry for the late response, I don't frequent this site too often. It'll fit fine, you'll have about 3-4 centimeters of space between them, so it won't be on the window but it is very close.

Haha! Thanks for the reply anyway. I ended up going with a Corsair H60. Much more aesthetically pleasing I think.

I guess he's very lucky to have that particular CPU, not all of them are in top quality that it can reached 4.5 GHz and get stable

Some dude's over at tom's hardware managed 4.6 so I figured, why not? Yeah, pics taken w. an s3. Originally, I wanted the msi Mpower, but money was tight at the time. This will suffice for now.
