I actually work as a computer technician, and i just built this piece by piece as i got the extra cash. No lottery winnings unfortunately.

Nice overclock and temps. Ever thought of getting the back plates for the GPUs? They would add a nice touch, but it looks really good anyways. +1

Hey, it's not like this is over kill for anyone...

Synthet1X [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 12 months ago

I like to call it "futureproofing" even though i know when the 880's come out ill be the first one selling my 780's and buying 3 of those.

Papajenkinz 0 points 12 months ago

So like 2 grand on gou's?

EnsignLedo 0 points 12 months ago

I would just like to let you know, you could've spent $5500 on all this if you looked in the right places. Also, there is almost literally no benefit of 3 780's over 2 way SLI 780s. Even two 780s not OCed could handle every game (obviously except like Crysis 3, Metro 2033, you know), on high settings, no AA. Also, I'm getting a build myself. With all my accessories, I could get two more 780s, and pay $3000 less, and better airflow as well. :P

Synthet1X [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 12 months ago

Just to let you know, the price PC part picker lists a computer at isnt the price i paid for it. I got this computer for under $5000 when it was all said and done, and to say there is no performance increase from 2 780's to 3 is just plain wrong. I had 2 780s in this rig before i went to 3 and there was a noticeable increase in fps. And you could have 5 780's? thats odd. I would like you to post your build that will be so superior to what you see please.

EnsignLedo 0 points 12 months ago

If you have that money, what's the point in just getting 780's? You should get Titans if you have that money. 3 Titans are much more powerful than 3 780's. Heck, since you have the board, get 4 Titans!

I'm just saying, if you're spending that much money, especially for looks, it's totally a waste. It's better to get as much performance for your money possible. You probably have enough for 4 Titans if you can get all of this. Also, just to let you know, it's better to run the CPU and GPU on separate loops, especially if you aren't overclocking the GPU's. Honeslty, I'd get a h80 or h100i for the CPU, then run the GPU on it's own loop. You'd get much better cooling (not that you need it for the CPU's since they're not overclocked).

Synthet1X [Submitter] [3 Builds] 2 points 12 months ago

3 x 780s have a much better price to performance ration than 3 or 4 titans. An over clocked 780 is damn near as good as a titan. The GPU's are actually very over clocked at this point and with the amount of radiator space i have the cooling is amazing.

BlastXin 2 points 1 month ago

no, the GTX 780 Ti is has faster performance in 1080p or 1440p as long the VRAM is enough. Except you are having graphcs mods and play in surround or UHD, there is no point using the Titan for gaming.

Marcus_CA 1 point 12 months ago

Are those the red individually sleeved cables that you can get from Corsair?

Synthet1X [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 12 months ago

Yes, you can get them from Corsair I tried doing it myself and it was totally not worth it lol.

Marcus_CA 1 point 12 months ago

oh, so these are your sleeving? They look really bright so I was having second doubts on getting them from Corsair .. might just get black.

How's that sound card?

Synthet1X [Submitter] [3 Builds] 2 points 12 months ago

The sound card is great. Its not the tip top performance wise but it is still a great sound card.

JasonRespawn 1 point 12 months ago

Thats Not a PC Thats a Monster

Krez 1 point 12 months ago

Now you can be the first to game on a 4k monitor and still get a good frame rate!

BlastXin 1 point 1 month ago

but then he will lose the 120Hz frame rate.

death12 1 point 11 months ago

You made a monster bro!

rhandyrhoads [5 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

Do you ever plan to get more monitors. I understand that you like your monitor but a build with that much graphical power can handle a lot more than 1920x1080. How about you grab two more.

comptech0408 1 point 10 months ago

When the machines take over, this will be their General! Sweet build man!

Synthet1X [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

Synthet1X [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

yes

ohmrpib 1 point 10 months ago

Well.... That's a fine PC you have there. How long did you save up for it?

Protocol [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

Very nice build, very clean. We almost aligned on our parts and construction there!

ArrKayCee [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

Since you're a technician and an amazing comp. builder, I would like to ask if you think it would work to do a build that for now has a Swiftech H220 only for the CPU, and later adding a reservoir, a GPU waterblock and a 120mm rad (to compensate for the GPU)? Or should I just wait until later to go fully watercooled (Right now I can't afford a full custom loop).

Synthet1X [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 9 months ago

How many GPU's will you have in the system? Water cooling is not cost effective unless it is 100% needed. With my 3gpus on top of one another they got real hot so i decided to water cool. A closed loop option like the Swiftech H220 should be more than good enough with air cooling on a single GPU.

kylepatrickswan [3 Builds] 1 point 9 months ago

NOW REPLACE THOSE 780'S WITH 780 TI'S!!!! MOAR MOAR MOARRRRRR!!

thunderdan602 [1 Build] 1 point 8 months ago

This build is bonerific.

strifeltd [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

the blue LEDs on the front panel totally ruin everything

jk...jaw dropping build :)

TheWickedTaco 1 point 6 months ago

lord what a beauty this man has made +1

CaptainWoopy 1 point 6 months ago

With all that power, you should update to the upcoming G Sync ASUS RoG 1440P Monitor. It also has a high refresh rate, so I'm sure you'll love it, also, it will use the hell out of your 3 GPU's. Wonderful build.

Synthet1X [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 6 months ago

I actually do plan on picking up that monitor when it is released.

YoitsJoe 1 point 3 months ago

I hope you are gonna buy this monitor when it comes out: ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q. Its a 27 inch 1440p monitor at 144hz 8 bit tn panel. Should be awesome on such a beefy setup

Synthet1X [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 16 days ago

I have actually been waiting on that monitor to come out since it was announced. Unfortunately I'm still waiting :(

I don't know about you guys but i just heard every kill quote from UT2004 and halo run through my head from seeing this... I.E. MMMMMMONSTER KILL Kill kill.... OVERKILL! HOLLY $#%! Killtrocity! Killamanjaro! WICKED SICK! Triple kill!

Im building a rather pricey rig too but DAMN!

Genarus [1 Build] -1 points 12 months ago

wtf was the negative point for?

rhandyrhoads [5 Builds] 0 points 12 months ago

Not even a DVD drive? It's a monster build but DVD isn't dead yet. You never know when you'll need to burn a disc or install a program off a disc.

Sn0w-Q 0 points 10 months ago

this is madness. madness? THIS IS BEST BUILD *

Goku671 [1 Build] -1 points 12 months ago

damn. You should upgrade your monitor set up though. Maybe get some surround monitor action up in here.

Synthet1X [Submitter] [3 Builds] 6 points 12 months ago

I am currently remodeling my house, but as soon as that is done i would like to get 2 more 120hz monitors to have some surround goodness.

Goku671 [1 Build] -1 points 12 months ago

what about asus 144hz, i heard both are great but the asus has a 27 in version. I am more of a 1440p kind of guy though.

Synthet1X [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 12 months ago

The asus are nice, i will probably stick with the BenQ since i already have 1 and i know how amazing they are already. And i would love to get some 4k action on this system but i need to win the lottery first.

Goku671 [1 Build] 1 point 12 months ago

haha, your build costs twice the asus 4k monitor. i think its like 3,400 or so.

Synthet1X [Submitter] [3 Builds] 1 point 12 months ago

I meant i wanted 4k surround. Haha

Goku671 [1 Build] 5 points 12 months ago

lmfao, dafuq!!! I think you need mor video ram though, 3gb is not going to cut it for 4k surround but if you are planning to do that than you propably have money to swap to 3 titans and you can reuse waterblocks.

pokecrafter69 1 point 12 months ago

http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_780_sli_review,22.html in short the 780s can handle it. only about 2gb are consumed with 5760x1080 due to the 780s raw power, so that route should be sufficient.

[comment deleted]

Goku671 [1 Build] 0 points 12 months ago

this is 4k surround multiply that by 3 man, wtf are you talking about. that link is irrevalent.

my build is going to be 2 780s and i thought that was great. I currently bought one for now because i am 16 and have limited funds. Then i see this and my jaw fell to the ground and cracked my tile.

rydog -3 points 11 months ago

I hope you know that the color RED has been proven to lead to more anger and stress, so I don't understand why people always make red gaming computers, especially the ones with RED LEDs in them...
