I built this rig with the intention of running both Windows and Mac OS. I wanted to save money by building one machine that could run both OS to do my graphic work and do some gaming as well.
This build is named Naughty Dog because I really love the design of sticker (as well as The Last Of Us), plus I think the sticker looks really nice at where I placed it.
Prior to this, I have never built my own rig before, so I'm really pleased at how it turned out. It was a little scary at first, seeing as how I've never done this before, but it got really fun as I got the hang of building a PC.
My next step for this machine would be to put some blue LED lighting strips in. Also, I would get around to benchmarking it and try to overclock this to see how far I can go.
(Note: This was posted using OS X 10.9.2 on the above-mentioned rig :D)
Update 1: As you can see from the pictures, I added some LED lighting! I attempted some basic overclocking, and the best that I can get is 4.3GHz at 1.35v. Any higher would cause a kernel panic and not be able to boot into my Mac OS X. I'm not sure if this is good or bad for Hackintosh. Any advice?
Update 2: Glamour pictures after adding my sleeved extensions
Update 3: Changed a couple of the components!
- Changed ASUS GTX 770 to a ASUS GTX 780
- Changed both SSD from the Kingston SSDNow V300 to Intel 730 Series SSD
- Changed my PSU from Corsair RM650 to Corsair AX860
- Changed my Crucial ram to the Kingston HyperX Beast
