Could you provide a brief explanation please? I would have guessed based on the parts this build is several years old.

Nice build. I presume the 6870's are recycled.

If you're only using two sticks of RAM, there should be an empty slot in between them, so just move the outermost to the third slot. :)

Happy gaming. :)

The part list says that sticks were purchased. They probably weren't implemented at the time of the pictures, but I may be wrong, if so than ignore what I said :/

That's correct, I have four sticks of RAM, they just weren't installed when I took the picture.

My only gripe about this build is that you could have gotten a better SPU for the same price. The 6350 or even the 6300 could do better than your four core. But, other than that, you got a decent build going!

+1 for an AMD build. It's comforting to me to know that other people are going with AMD on their gaming builds and getting results. I'm in the process of getting parts and going with the fx 6350 and I'm a little worried that it won't hold to some of my games, but this provides a bit of comfort.

Same here! Once I scrap up the money, it's going to be a good time!

Hopefully I'm going to get most of the more expensive parts from my parents and relatives for graduation :)

Destructive criticism at its finest. You should be proud of yourself.

Sorry about that. I'll change the words. I think that you could have done better with that much money.

fsma92 [2 Builds] 1 point 9 months ago

how fast is that SSD?

computergeek715 [Submitter] [2 Builds] 1 point 7 months ago

Sequential Read 403.6 MB/s, Sequential Write 162.3 MB/s

I boot in 8-12 seconds, and then another 4-8 or so for my programs to load up.
