Gonna delid that 4670K for him?

domzlol [Submitter] [9 Builds] 1 point 16 months ago

No need. Only that big batch of them have thos problems. Check my other 5.0hz 4670k build out. <3

Jimmy 1 point 16 months ago

I already saw that, I thought you just got a golden chip =P. So your saying that only the first large batch had heat and overclocking issues?

domzlol [Submitter] [9 Builds] 1 point 16 months ago

I cant say if it was the first batch was bad. But I do know first 2 weeks 80% of haswell chips had unstable heat issues. I was fortunate to get a good one that can oc to 4.8 no problems

NUclearD3 [1 Build] 2 points 16 months ago

Very nice looking build.

domzlol [Submitter] [9 Builds] 1 point 16 months ago

awesome_taco 1 point 16 months ago

Haha me neither! is $99.99 a good price because thats the lowest I saw it for

domzlol [Submitter] [9 Builds] 1 point 16 months ago

Yes 99 is good. Case is worth 200 imo lol

domzlol [Submitter] [9 Builds] 1 point 16 months ago

Let me know when you get it! I want to see pics. :$

awesome_taco 1 point 16 months ago

Sure will do! I just placed the order and its currently shipping as we speak. Im so excited lol

domzlol [Submitter] [9 Builds] 1 point 16 months ago

Hell yea. What setup you going to run?

awesome_taco 1 point 16 months ago

Hmmm this isn't final but heres the link ---> http://pcpartpicker.com/p/198QZ I'll probably switch out the cables with some from Bitfenix to match the color scheme and most likely get some leds from them haswell (see what I did there? lol) and I might change the mobo since no release date has been given yet and I can only find it on a european site for preorder. And depending on how much money I got left I might as well upgrade the 780 to a titan if not now I might do it later. Any suggestions?

domzlol [Submitter] [9 Builds] 1 point 16 months ago

everything looks great! only thing i would do is get faster ram. for the same price you can get 2400mhz ram 16 gb 8X2. and i dont care what people say about 16Gb is too much... 16 gb with 2 slots just means you can upgrade more down the road instead of limiting your self... and i would only upgrade to a titan if your using really high res.. the 780 and the titan are almost the same performance except the titans 6gb would be only better for bigger screens or higher res.. with a 21 or a 22 inch screen . 3gb from the 780 is plenty. GL on your build and looking forward to seeing the pics!

awesome_taco 1 point 16 months ago

The only reason I didn't pick a higher clock speed ram was that the motherboard I choose only supports up to 1600 mHz base clock, I can support all the way up to 3000 mHz but only with OC should I try to get the higher base clock speeds even though the board doesn't support it? Or should I just play it safe and get the 1600 mHz and OC it? And for the graphics card you're probably right I think ill stick with the 780 for now. Thanks for the advice! You're such a huge help and I'll be sure to upload plenty of pictures just for you :D

domzlol [Submitter] [9 Builds] 0 points 16 months ago

The base clock wont mean anything anyways because you should set the xmp profile for your ram in your bios settings. Your mobo will support up to 3000mhz. i just had someone ask me to do a build with a titan same set up so stay tuned for the upcoming build ! :)

awesome_taco 1 point 16 months ago

Awesome! I decided on the 1866 mHz corsair vengeance pro it seemed like the best value for the price. And that titan build sounds pretty awesome already, I'm looking forward to it already!

How did you get the window on the side of the tower?

domzlol [Submitter] [9 Builds] 1 point 15 months ago

Brand New Release updated version of the case. Or you can buy just the door off there website or ebay.

sketch24 [6 Builds] 1 point 15 months ago

Your using a benchmark that's used for mobile devices and laptops to inflate your benchmark numbers. Try using 3dmark11 so we can get a better idea of where your builds fall in. It's kind of disingenuous to use the benchmark that gives you the highest possible numbers to make it. The people with comparable gaming rigs are probably using firestrike or 3dmark11 free benchmarking tools.

domzlol [Submitter] [9 Builds] 1 point 15 months ago

i just don't use one benchmarking program... lol i use alot of diff kinds. I will post my 3dmark 11 scores and firestrike for you. if that make you feel better....

lbasok [1 Build] 1 point 15 months ago

I'm doing a similar build with the Corsair H60. How did you orient the top fan?

domzlol [Submitter] [9 Builds] 1 point 15 months ago

sorry what do you mean? orient the top fan?

lbasok [1 Build] 1 point 15 months ago

Should have been clearer, my bad. I was wondering how the top fan was directed ie. as an intake or as an exhaust. I noticed you had the H60 fan as an exhaust out the back and you added a fan to the top of the case behind the ODD. Is there any advantage to having this top fan as an intake rather than an exhaust or vice versa?

RedShnow 1 point 13 months ago

you should make sure that the 500w is enough for the 680, cause im running 680 4gb and 4770k and i have a nice corsair gs800

domzlol [Submitter] [9 Builds] 1 point 13 months ago

Works well have not had a issue yet. Thx

AustinTheTimelord [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

Okay seriously. I ******* love these cases.
