Description

I bought an AMD system 6 years ago when 64 bit was just coming around to the masses ... wasn't impressed at all.

But this baby is just rocking! And the price was just right.

No complaints except Windows 8.1 - occasionally hangs on boot due to potential driver incompatibilities. But, I trust the folks in the industry will work it out... eventually, just in time for Windows 9 or 10 ?!

you could have done better with that price :/

I agree. Overpaid a little for RAM and OS, and didn't get a great GPU.

Not every PC on this website is made for gaming.

It all depends on what the builder is doing. If it is for video/ photo editing or animation, then this is OK. For gaming, it's pretty lopsided.

it doesn't seem like you had a budget :/ look up this build I made (which is like $300 more and way better :p ) http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/3wIyv

I have built a similar system for my son http://pcpartpicker.com/b/OsV and he has had no problems with 8.1, what driver do you think your booting issues are coming from?

Will you you be overclocking the CPU? And how about more pics? If this was your first build, I would say job well done with the cable management, though I would have grabbed a Corsair PSU for about the same money and features and modular, except the cables would either be sleeved or all black, which goes along with most builds.

I might be a little un-educated on the topic, but isn't $80 really steep for a blu ray drive?
