Description

Hello there! I built this PC to play games, edit, and well, you know "stuff" :p

8350 - Awesome CPU! Great for gaming and rendering! Also got it to 4.8GHZ 1.49v!

H100i - At first I was going to get a H80i but it was more expensive then the H100i. Yes, you didn't read that wrong. Also, in the third pic I didn't have the SP120 quiets on the rad. The stock h100i fans rape your ears man.

990FXA-UD3 - Made sure to get the REV. 4 of this board with the improved heatsinks. Awesome board. Great overclocker as well.

G.Skill Ram - "you do not need 16gbs of ram you should of got 8gb" You obviously cant see that I don't just game.

Sandisk SSD - Boots to Win 7 in 33 seconds. Have Skype, Steam. Orgin and Firefox on here with room about 15GB left over.

Seagate 1TB - It's a harddrive. wow

Gigabyte 770 - Very fast runs BF4 maxed out 1080p 65-70 fps with dips down to 55. Quiet as well.

Define R4 - This is the case God would use for his PC if he had one.

RM 750w - Great, modular, room for 2nd 770!

Lite On drive - ...

Windows 7 - Had a copy laying around.

You OC'd the 8350 to 4.8? That's nice to know because I am putting together a gaming rig and I want to use the 8350.

+1 I forgot ;)

you can get just about any FX series to 5GHz if you have good cooling. it all depends on if you get a good chip or not.

great build and very clean! haha, I should take pointers from you on cable management. My latest build is pretty ugly with the cables. How is the FX-8350 performing? I think I might build an amd system with a similar configuration for my wife soon.

Very well! I play everything at 1080p maxed out! 55+ FPS BF4 FC3 Titanfall Amra 2, 3 Skyrim (with the hd texture)

Cool Ty! And nice build:3

crisptofu 3 points 8 months ago

you should try pushing for 5 GHz minimum with such low temps, you're not in trouble really until you hit 80 degrees load :P

h100i is too good for a wimpy 4.8 GHz

MellowC [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 8 months ago

There are 2 reasons for my good temps. 1 cold house and the 8350 only needs 1.45v for 4.8 ghz

Looks very nice. Very clean build.

Hey I know this is a late comment but how did you overclock the FX-8350 to 4.8GHz? I don't mean how exactly, but what is your voltage and stuff? I own the same CPU and CPU Cooler, but have a ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Motherboard, which I presume is better. Can you tell me your settings in the BiOS for the overclock? It would help a lot buddy! Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the late reply. I just increased the voltage to 1.42, and set at 4.4Ghz. Then 4.6, then at 4.8 prime95 had errors. So I put voltage at 1.44 and all works good. Also, increase your NB Core voltage to 1.3.

I've read a review on amazon about "this board will throttle an FX8350 due to a bad VRM design".Have you had any problems with it? And where did you get the board?

MellowC [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 6 months ago

Nope. This is the REV. 4. Not the REV 3.

Like you said the motherboards vrm design is crap other then that very good build +1.

MellowC [Submitter] [1 Build] 2 points 8 months ago

The rev. 3 had a crap VRM design. The REV.4 Fixes that

GamingGuru93 [1 Build] 2 points 8 months ago
