Description

I decided to gift my wife computer parts last Christmas and show her how to build a pc. She loved every moment of it and learned a lot during the process. The reason she has gtx 560ti sli is because I already had those cards just lying around the house, so I decided to put em to use. The ram was purchased early last year so that's why its so cheep. She loves her computer and looks forward to playing ESO in a few months.

I have the Phantom 410 too. Best looking case out there (yeah that's biased :P)

+1, In my opinion the Phantom 410 is the best looking case ever.

Lucky wife! SLI looks so much cooler than a single card.

thanx, sli does look pretty cool.

Nice solid build! Would be better if that 8 pin went behind but it looks way too short anyway :/

rickylee86 submitter 3 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

yeah, the cable is very short, it wouldn't reach going through the back, but I have an extension cable on the way.

This build is soooo nice. I love the look of it. I'm gonna use it in my first build if thats ok :D

Biorph 2 points 7 months ago

Edit: I mean use the LOOK of it. Like, use the same case fans, and the phantom 410.

Looks good. Does the 8 (4 pin for the 95W) pin CPU connector not have the stretch to come from behind?

rickylee86 submitter 3 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

thanx, no its to short, just ordered an extension cable though.

I see a very balanced build here. The only thing I hope for is 2 HD 7870 in Crossfire as the HD 7870 has more performance than the 650ti and is much more cheaper. Other than that... excelent! Hope your wife would love it!

BTW case looks FRIGGIN COOL!

rickylee86 submitter 3 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

thank you, yeah i thought about getting her a stronger single card, but since we already had those i made use of them.

Hussein.H 1 point 14 months ago

Oooh, crossfire +1

Shouldn't have done this man! Instead of buying shoes and purses, now she'll be buying 780Ti's and SSDs.

All kidding aside, great job on the build and being a good man to your wife.

rickylee86 submitter 3 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

lol, thank you, id much rather her spend $700 on a gpu than on a pair of shoes :)

It looks like you put the 140mm fans on the front/top/side correct? Did you have any issues putting the 140 on the side with that heatsink? I am looking at building a PC with the Hyper 212 in this case and wanted to make sure I would have room to have a 140 on the side.

I built a PC with the regular Phantom, and the 200mm would not fit on the side while using the 212, so I was trying to avoid an unnecessary purchase.

+1 on the build!
