My dad!

Oh god, looking at your pictures I thought suddenly I acquired a bunch of dead pixels in the center of my monitor!

Nice build! But that 8c idle temp is a little off. Amd temperature sensors aren't the best at idle.

URXP2ME submitter 2 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Ah, OK. I was thinking 8c (~50F) sounds a little low for Spring time 70F outside. :p

Edit: That's a scratch on my phone's camera. :(

Great Pictures.

Thanks! I was really excited when I made it so I had to take some good pictures.

That is once nice looking mobo! Good choice on the processor, I have the 8150 and I love it.

URXP2ME submitter 2 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Thanks! I'm really proud of it!

Akut 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

It's a pretty sweet mobo. Had it for a while until it was handed off to a buddy. My only complaint about that board in particular is the lack of a USB3.0 port. Not a huge deal though, a $10 PCI card works all the same.

Dasa 2 points 13 months ago

How's the motherboard? I'm thinking of a build with that exact motherboard, and was wondering how well it performed/ met your expectations.

URXP2ME submitter 2 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Great MOBO! When I got it one of the heatsink had fallen off but I put it back in place and everything is cool! I'm very happy with it though it only 4, 4 pin fan connectors

Songster 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

Good job man! Good price to performance.

URXP2ME submitter 2 Builds 2 points 13 months ago

Thanks! I searched around for a long time and decided on these parts because of the price/performance.

That is a sexy machine. Awesome build man!

URXP2ME submitter 2 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Thanks! I worked really hard!

120GB ssd is that enough? I am planning to get 840 Evo 250GB to put all (or most) Steam games on it + Windows but that would add $50. Is that worth it, anyone?

Grizzlyx 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

I personally wouldn't go any lower than 250... 120 fills up so fast.

asura_ 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

alright, I figured I own about 25-30 games, so 120 wouldn't cut it

URXP2ME submitter 2 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

I'm putting almost everything on my 1TB, just Win8 and a few other programs on the 120GB SSD. If you do plan on putting games on the SSD, get a 250GB

Grizzlyx 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

Love when people are proud of their work... the pictures show it for sure.

+1

Thanks! I'm making another build this weekend for my dad (the one in the corner :p)

I'll be taking just as many pictures!

masterone 2 points 12 months ago

I have the same case and is really good case so good choice

URXP2ME submitter 2 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

I'm also building a new computer this week, in a Node 304, so that's exciting too! (It's a work computer, no GPU)

Hakumisoso 2 Builds 2 points 13 months ago

That's an awesome case. What color?

URXP2ME submitter 2 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

It's just the standard black case, with the red LED fans in the front
