Description

this is a build i was really looking foward to cause i love the this case, the corsair air 540,this pc is used for gaming and video work..I also did something i wasnt planning on doing and that is purchasing the asus mars card...my other pcs have a 780 ti and a 780 and im just not an AMD person but thats not to say amd is not good i just perfer nvidia, so i thought id give it a try after days of researching this card..this is just an experiment.for those who dont know this is a dual gpu with 2 gtx 760s ,, if i dont like it i will return it and just get a 780 so before the comments come in about this card please understand that.. this card might be a little expensive but my benchmarking so far is pretty impressive and this is at stock speeds..as far as the rest of the build i think its pretty much self explanitory and im a big fan of the ROG series ,the maximus VI hero is one of the best deals going for motherboards in my oipinion at only $200.this is a brand new build so im still tweaking alot of things but im running a stable cpu OC of 4.5 ,the video card will be overclocked as well , please leave a comment thanks and good day gentlemen..... and ladies

Im just curious as to why you mentioned AMD in your description becuase none of your parts are from AMD. Still great build!

WOW. This is really nice. Parts list looks good, and the build looks even better. I am extremely jealous.

Is The GPU Hot

Personally, I would've named this The Crimson ****** but that's just me.

Skinnyjeans21 2 points 2 months ago

Someone's been watching too much Hellsing... but The Crimson ****** would make a great name for it; especially with red tubes for watercooling x)

You have other computers with a 780 and a 780TI? What's the point of all these different PC's? Other than that question, I love the looks of this beauty, ROG FTW.

How does the mars 760 compare to the 780ti? i know it outperforms the 780 but in canada it costs as much as the 780ti.

AminWinsGaming 1 point 5 months ago

The Mars 760 Which Is 2 760s Beats A Single Titan, 780 And Even Posiibly A 780TI

krazyklod 1 point 5 months ago

I'm not too sure about that, you still have only 2gb with 2x 760s but the 780 has 3gb and the Titan 6gb. It probably won't make much of a difference with most games but for some games it could be a massive benefit.

Grazzert [2 Builds] 0 points 5 months ago

microcenter reports that it's 4GB of VRAM.

krazyklod 1 point 5 months ago

DOh! I read "Asus GeForce GTX 760 X2 2GB" and just assumed because they were 760s. Will have to have a look into benchmarks for this GPU.

CallumShannan 1 point 4 months ago

Yea the mars has 2X 2GB GPU'S inside it a normal graphics card has 1 GPU that's the major differences so it has 4GB. But because of having 2 GPU'S its also dearer but worth it its like having 2 graphics card in one.

BoltActionWaffle [2 Builds] 1 point 3 months ago

Memory bus and VRam doesn't stack, I don't understand why the 760 Mars exists. It costs $700-750 where I live, Canada.

so far the card is impressive its still new so the verdict is still out on it but my 3D mark score is about the same compared to the ti and it runs cooler than the ti

cooperred [2 Builds] 1 point 5 months ago

Nice build! Loving the color scheme. Why the need for a sound card though?

Also, how are those SP fans? I need a few for radiator fans...

Norm101 [2 Builds] 1 point 5 months ago

Really nice parts selection. How's that card? I've heard it is pretty awesome.

PacificNic [1 Build] 1 point 5 months ago

So.... Where do you live and where do you keep your wallet?

madpossum [1 Build] 1 point 5 months ago

Very Nice, I have to admit, the 760 Mars probably isn't worth it over a 780 TI for the same amount of money, but it is a very cool card, both in looks and unique factor.

EngageTheSun [1 Build] 1 point 5 months ago

+1 man, that asus card tho omg

Yevgeniy_Onegin [1 Build] 1 point 5 months ago

Nice!

DeathJester11 1 point 1 month ago

All good except the mobo which is totally overkill for one graphics card but whatever! Yolo!

sgtyummybuns 1 point 9 days ago

But it's a dual gpu ;)

bastille 1 point 17 days ago

I noticed you went with the MAC edition black widow and is the sound card really good for music and gaming, and why are you getting a pb287q?

kylclrk 1 point 4 days ago

What happens if you try to SLI two of those GPU's?? Or is that just nonsense?
