First Build - Budget gaming

Description

I am an engineering student and I thought it would be awesome to build my own pc to play games on since my laptop wasn't cutting it. I realize the cable management isn't the best but I don't plan on overclocking in the near future and didn't know how else to contain all the wires. I should have gotten a modular psu but I wasn't aware of how beneficial it was beforehand. Also i didn't actually apply the thermal paste as I am going to use it with an after market cooler eventually.

How's that case doing? I'm building my own pretty soon and that one caught my eye.

The case is great. I like that you can remove some of the internal compartments for some more room inside!

Yeah, my dad's pc just died and I may reuse some of the parts that still work like the fans, PSU, and the motherboard

Cable management much? Check out my build and you'll see what I mean...

Decent build, but please try some cable management. I do realize however that the case you have probably isn't very cable management friendly.

Manage the cables.

Nice budget build. Try running the cables though the holes of the motherboard tray and run the cables behind it. Good cable management is key for proper air flow and you will need that when you start to overclock.

I am getting the impression that some commenters here feel that you should perform something called "cable management". Only some of them though.

Definitely not every single one.

I think only a couple people think that..... I must need to do something else first.?

Dust will love those messy cables, the cables are my only complaint. You could tuck those cables behind the motherboard and you are good to go. Nice part choices.
