Description

So my girlfriend wanted her own machine because she says that she feels as though she cant use mine. She tells me she will give me the money to build her one. She wanted to keep it under 1k. So this is what I came up with.

I originally was gonna go with an i5 but after doing a bit of research and accepting the fact that this would be more for regular use and only minimal gaming I refrained myself from the pricey stuff. She of course decided on the case and after that I just tried to keep the theme.

Hey, nice build! +1 Also, if your girlfriend needs to upgrade, she can always crossfire those cards. Heard it was damn good performance with two.

How much FPS do you get in games?

Mario64 submitter 2 Builds 2 points 15 months ago

I have only played Loadout on it so far and the average was 80fps. Lowest was 75 and the highest reaching 110.

I would use the cpu cooler fan in a push configuration, but nice build!

Mario64 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 15 months ago

Yeah, I originally wanted to but with the fans I have in there now I figured pull was more sufficient.

A very nice, solid build for daily use/minimal gaming. I really like the red case. Very nice job.

Its funny you say that because it is awfully loud as if it wants to die.

Mario64 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 14 months ago

My friend had a copy that we used. So... free

CDGRockZ 1 point 14 months ago

ohh thats nice.

RealmOfVenom 0 points 15 months ago

That is a pretty terrible graphics card to go along with that Proccesor.

Mario64 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 15 months ago

What would you have suggested

RealmOfVenom 1 point 15 months ago

Radeon R9 270X or Radeon 7870

Mario64 submitter 2 Builds 2 points 15 months ago

Both those cards are 100 bucks more than what I got. I figured she did not need a $200 gpu.

RealmOfVenom 1 point 15 months ago

It depends on the games. But if you upgrade to an 270X or 7870 I believe when Mantle is released the graphics cards will be able to use it. I'm not so sure about the 7790

markwheato71 -1 points 15 months ago

nice build, love the cpu but i would of went with the 7770.

Mario64 submitter 2 Builds 2 points 15 months ago

Im not too familiar with Radeon and Amd, So why the 7770?

nike2k8 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

I would say the 7790 is probably the best choice for what she is doing, and will do well in the future. It is about 30-40% faster, with it being relatively inexpensive. The PSU, and aftermarket cooler are somewhat overkill though.
