No freaking way!!!! I was about to build this exact same build cables and all excluding the power supply... Now I have to choose something else.

Atleast I can see what it would've looked like.

cwegrecki 1 point 10 months ago

Where did you get the custom 24pin extender/cable in red and your video card extention cable?

joshuatjandra [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

Silverstone tek custom sleeved cables :)

rakenrol14 1 point 9 months ago

how's the monitor for gaming? thinking about getting this monitor too so would appreciate feedback!

joshuatjandra [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

Fantastic. if you want good colours and IPS, pretty good as long as u're not a pro gamer and require 1ms

rakenrol14 1 point 9 months ago

thanks!

ljigga 1 point 9 months ago

Did you have any problems with compatibility between that memory and your mobo?

joshuatjandra [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 9 months ago

Nope :)

Can you add some more pics of the inside? I was thinking of making a similar build with mostly the same parts and wanted to see how the red fans/red sleeved cables and Hero MOB all looked inside a R4 with the h100i.

Thanks!

PlainEminem 1 point 8 months ago

How much room is there between the bottom of the rad and the top of your RAM slots? I'm trying to figure out if a h100i will fit in a Fractal R4 with a Maximus VI Formula.

joshuatjandra [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 8 months ago

maybe a centimetre, but since the H100i is a 120 mil rad, you can offset the mounting since the R4 top mounts supports up to 140 mil

Great build! What kind of a job does that monitor do in games, since it's only 60hz?

How are those headphones.

joshuatjandra [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

They are superb, no complaints, I love the colour on those headphones, makes it look exotic.

lt-smith [2 Builds] 0 points 10 months ago

lol'd at that background xd

YourLocalPCNoob [1 Build] 0 points 10 months ago

Nice red/black theme. How quiet is your R4?

joshuatjandra [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

It's pretty quiet when I'm running my H100i and gtx780 at default, at performance mode its not quiet at all.

YourLocalPCNoob [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

How many grommets are there?

joshuatjandra [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

1 at the bottom 2 at the sides 2 at the top. I find building in this case that the grommets were too small, my GPU 8+6pin I cant fit through the grommets, ended up just routing them over the mobo panel thingy.

YourLocalPCNoob [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

Just curious, whats the maximum amt of fans you're able to put in the R4?

joshuatjandra [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

i have all of them occupied, 2x140 front, 2x120top, 1x120 rear, 1x120 bottom. so 6 fans, they all can be either 140/120

Henson.conor [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

also if you have the non windowed version you can add another on the side panel

YourLocalPCNoob [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

Does the 140 provide better cooling than the 120? im assuming this since the fan is bigger.

Henson.conor [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

yea usually the bigger fan has more static pressure but also is louder

YourLocalPCNoob [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

So what would be the difference between the Static Pressure and the Air Force?

joshuatjandra [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

SP is for radiators or if you have a lot of obstacles. AF is just regular fans.

Henson.conor [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

I never heard of air force before I think you mean air flow and im no expert so you should google it. also static pressure basically mean that more air is going in then is coming out this can help prevent dust build up

Hakumisoso [2 Builds] 0 points 10 months ago

You are decked out in cooler master peripherals.

joshuatjandra [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

Hahaha, I cant find any other brands that have red/black theme throughout. I needed flawless optical sensor and brown switches, basically only coolermaster met my requirements. + I cant stand having different brands for my mouse kb and mousepad. hahaha

DjArtifact 0 points 10 months ago

Nice choice of headphones!

LeMonarque [3 Builds] 0 points 10 months ago

The background is gold. As is the random Sriracha bottle on the desk LOL!

joshuatjandra [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

It's my redbull.

joshj2398 [1 Build] -2 points 10 months ago

Shoulda been patient and got the upcoming AMD Radeon R9 290X.

skemble [16 Builds] 4 points 10 months ago

I really don't think he's going to be let down by a 780.

joshj2398 [1 Build] 2 points 10 months ago

I know but he shouldve at least waited for real 290x benchmarks which there arent any yet, but the leaked ones beat the titan at the same price point as a 780.

joshuatjandra [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

I built this about a month ago when there was still little to no info on the 290x, and Frametime issues with crossfire and eyefinity

joshj2398 [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

oh ok

Orthithian [1 Build] -3 points 10 months ago

This is just my opinion but I would have spent a little less on the build and maybe I would have gotten a real desk. But It is a very nice build thanks for sharing!

joshuatjandra [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 10 months ago

I'm renting an apartment near my college so I will stick with this until I have a more permanent place. I needed a big, portable and cheap desk. This one works surprisingly great! There isn't any wobble and it folds up nicely.
