This is my first build. still some bugs to work out.
ALLONS-Y! Great prices. +1
Use enough websites and wait for the good deals and anythings possible lol
If you live in the USA...
knows how that feels
I see that kfc bucket of chicken there. :)
Very nice build, esp. the r9 280x
A little bit of history about that card, the earlier version of it was clocked at 1020 mhz and they had a bit of problems ~ Many people reviewed they had a certain "coil whine" which was pretty loud, I've gotten mine and it had that too.
I'm just concern about the cheap gpu because I have that same problem playing skyrim. (I'm stuck with it though it's pretty nice apart from that.)
Thanks for the heads up
It's, it's... Bigger on the inside!
Where did you get the 280X? That's a crazy price! :D
Ebay used. I was originally going with a 270 but couldn't resist the 280x for that price.
True! Happy gaming!
yea i got a 290x for a client for 200$
Nice color scheme/name (Whovian).
Other than i don't like blue LED fans, or generally LED fans It's a good build for an amazing price. Though mixing RAM can be a very bad idea. especially when they run different timings and speeds.
I am hoping that the mixed ram doesn't affect it. Seems to be working fine so far. I got the Adata real cheap and did not want to return it.
Dang, you got some incredible prices, it truly is "bigger on the inside"!
The Doctor would have used a core i5. ;) +1
Great prices and an awesome build! +1
How's the cable management on that case like? I may purchase it.
Not bad at all. The only issue I had is that the mobo covers up the slot in the upper left that would be used for the small mobo power cable. I still have a little clean up to do but its easy enough because the case sides have the extra room built in.
Should have put a bow tie sticker on the PC, bow ties are cool.
+1 from me
Lmao love it.
What bugs do you have ?
I think you have some very capable parts.
Let us know the issues
I have to RMA the motherboard. In the pictures you can see that it is mounted in the 4x slot not the 16x. The System will not post when I use the 16x slot.
How is the 280X doin? is it worth getting?
Its hard to say, Right now I am forced to use the 4x PCI E slot because the 16x slot is dead. I have not done any benchmarking but the few games I have installed GW2 and L4D2 run smooth on all high settings and the fans are not loud at all.
Thanks, i'm considering getting it.
Hey how hard was it to get the USB 3.0 cable to fit into the usb 3.0 socket? I have the same case and motherboard and the cable just wont go in.
I did not have any problems getting it in. Are all your pins straight?
