I see that kfc bucket of chicken there. :)

Very nice build, esp. the r9 280x

A little bit of history about that card, the earlier version of it was clocked at 1020 mhz and they had a bit of problems ~ Many people reviewed they had a certain "coil whine" which was pretty loud, I've gotten mine and it had that too.

I'm just concern about the cheap gpu because I have that same problem playing skyrim. (I'm stuck with it though it's pretty nice apart from that.)

Ebay used. I was originally going with a 270 but couldn't resist the 280x for that price.

Other than i don't like blue LED fans, or generally LED fans It's a good build for an amazing price. Though mixing RAM can be a very bad idea. especially when they run different timings and speeds.

ash009 [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 2 months ago

I am hoping that the mixed ram doesn't affect it. Seems to be working fine so far. I got the Adata real cheap and did not want to return it.

Jonathanwashere [1 Build] 1 point 2 months ago

How's the cable management on that case like? I may purchase it.

ash009 [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 2 months ago

Not bad at all. The only issue I had is that the mobo covers up the slot in the upper left that would be used for the small mobo power cable. I still have a little clean up to do but its easy enough because the case sides have the extra room built in.

Should have put a bow tie sticker on the PC, bow ties are cool.

+1 from me

What bugs do you have ?

I think you have some very capable parts.

Let us know the issues

ash009 [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 2 months ago

I have to RMA the motherboard. In the pictures you can see that it is mounted in the 4x slot not the 16x. The System will not post when I use the 16x slot.

How is the 280X doin? is it worth getting?

ash009 [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 2 months ago

Its hard to say, Right now I am forced to use the 4x PCI E slot because the 16x slot is dead. I have not done any benchmarking but the few games I have installed GW2 and L4D2 run smooth on all high settings and the fans are not loud at all.

Thanks, i'm considering getting it.
