This build is overall good but I'm disliking how you cheaped out on the RAM. Other than that, this build is nice!

The ram and cooler is to be upgraded next, thank you though!

I like the plastic hosing around the PSU cables. Very smart.

I know that nobody has commented on this build in a while, but I wanted to know how you like the PSU? I'm planning on getting it for my build, and it seems like a lesser-known unit. Also, I know you have the PSU facing down, but did you get a look at how the light looks at all?

Did you end up buying this power supply? If so, How do you like it? I'm looking to buy one by the end of summer also.

No, decided to go with a PC & Power Cooling unit, but my friend got the 1000W version for his rig. He likes it a lot. The light looks sick. The CPU power connector was a little short, and couldn't reach the plug at the top of the mobo if you tried to route it through the back, but reached if you went across the mobo. This was in a Full ATX tower though (Rosewill THOR V2). The GPU, CPU, and 24-pin connectors are non-modular, everything else is modular. Definitely a solid PSU for him so far! And Haswell compatible. But if you're getting a Full ATX, you might want to get an extension for your CPU pins, if you want to route it through the back of the case.

Lot of storage drives.

th3m4dh4tt3r [1 Build] 1 point 18 months ago

Clean and sexy, but why so many HDDs and 1333Mhz RAM?

Intremag [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 18 months ago

I have just added a bunch of storage as I have needed, and the ram is soon to be upgraded.

Is that... Corrugated tubing? Smart thinking, sir.

Thank you very much!!

YouBaxter [1 Build] 1 point 18 months ago

Have the same case; only in white. Love it. Want to trade colors? :)

Kirkzilla [1 Build] 1 point 18 months ago

in the pic you have the power supply where the fan is facing the bottom of the case i dont know if you plan to place it on the carpet but you might want to flip it over if it is going to be on the carpet because it can restrict airflow to the PSU

I keep the computer sitting on a wood board beside my desk, so it works just fine

Really? Can you link me to a site where someone says they had a disaster with a corsair hydro series cooler?

PocoDiablo [2 Builds] 2 points 18 months ago

Check the reviews on Amazon. You will see a lot of very, very unhappy customers. I saw them and they put me off that cooler for the same reason.

Ggadget 1 point 17 months ago

I looked at the reviews on amazon for this particular model and all I saw was a few people having the pump fail. There weren't " a lot of very, very unhappy people."

PocoDiablo [2 Builds] 1 point 17 months ago

Maybe it was a similar one. There were at least 5-6 people complaining about leaks, ruined computers, feeling like they were test subjects and so forth.

So ... avoid whatever one THAT is and you should be good to go!

A very well balanced build. I have the same GPU!

Intremag [Submitter] [1 Build] 1 point 18 months ago

It has been awesome for me, a massive upgrade from the dual 5770's that I had before that.
