Dropped an i5-3450 into my all-purpose mining, gaming, HTPC build to give it extra processing power for encoding and gaming. I also have a 6850 connected through a PCIe x1 riser. The total hashrate is about 780 MH/s. FPS in battlefield 3 is 50-60 on a 1080p screen with settings on ultra and AA/MSAA on lowest settings. It can do any HTPC functions without any problems. Mining has covered about a 1/3 of the total cost of the build so far, and I think I'm done upgrading for at least a year.
Mining eventually covered the cost of all the upgrades so I sold the 6850 and only have the 7950 in it.
I wanted better cooling because you can overclock the i5-3450 four steps above stock, so I bought the Zalman CNPS9500A. The cooler does not fit in the case, so I had to bend some of the top fins out of the way to make it fit. Doesn't affect the cooling performance, but it killed the looks.
