Description

Used primarily for gaming, coding, personal use, everyday stuff, etc.

Extensions from the reddit user Jappetto. Red, white and black to match the case! I think it looks pretty sick. :)

LEDs are BitFenix white LED strips (2x 600mm, 1x 300mm) from FrozenCPU

Feel free to comment and ask any questions.

Update 02/09/15: Been a while since the last update. Replaced monitor with an Acer B326HK 4K monitor. Probably going to wait for broadwell to upgrade at all. For now, it's good. :)

superninjaleprechaun 3 points 17 months ago

yay for good headphones

ABJ117 3 points 16 months ago

That's a really tiny keyboard. :3

thesupergeek 3 Builds 2 points 25 months ago

Is that the power for the pump for the water cooler? looks like! anyways, well balanced, nicely wired build!

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 2 points 25 months ago

It's 3 cables, one for the pump power, one for the USB link cable, and 1 for the SATA/fan connections to power the fans.

thesupergeek 3 Builds 2 points 25 months ago

yay! I was (kinda) right! I have the same liquid cooler an I love it.

Miles.Main 1 Build 2 points 17 months ago

First off, beautiful build, with some really exquisite cable work. Next, Iv'e got a legit question. I'm getting the new Corsair 450D next month and I'm also getting a new CPU cooler. I had intended on getting either the H100i or the H105, but a youtube reviewer who I sorta swear by (LinusTechTips) mentioned that the H105 wouldn't fit in the top of this case. However, you seem to have done it quite nicely here. Did you have any issues with that at all? A tip would be super helpful as this will shape my decision of which cooler to actually buy. Again, great build, luv them cables. Thanks!

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

The H105 is going to be a tight fit on most motherboards, and some may not even fit, but with the UD4H, you can clearly see in the picture that it does indeed fit.

Miles.Main 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

Ok,cool. Ive got a UDH3, which i believe is actually smaller, so do you think that'll work? thanks btw :)

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

Don't think the UD3H is any smaller, but it's definitely not any bigger. Should be fine.

cordisium 2 points 12 months ago

WHAT VESA MOUNT IS THAT??!?!?!?!

Radicult 2 Builds 1 point 25 months ago

I think i see the black connection, top right corner? I'd assume its connected to the front panel.

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 3 points 25 months ago

It's there, but that's not what it's connected to! Try again. :)

Hakumisoso 2 Builds 3 points 25 months ago

Unsleeved fan cable?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 2 points 25 months ago

Oh, interesting. It's sleeved but black, forgot about it. Not what I was looking for, but I'll give you a cookie anyway. :P Original cookie is still up for grabs :)

PacificNic 3 Builds 2 points 25 months ago

Fan controller?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

Nope. :) Fan controller (Kraken) is behind the motherboard tray, not seen.

Radicult 2 Builds 2 points 25 months ago

Oh darn :P

Radicult 2 Builds 4 points 25 months ago

I can't tell what it's connected to :P, but I still saw it, so that means cookie, right???

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 2 points 25 months ago

You get half a cookie. :P

Radicult 2 Builds 0 points 25 months ago

YAY!!!! NOMS!

hunter32tz 1 Build 2 points 25 months ago

Sata cable? Wait nope it's not forgot about what you said in the description.

thesupergeek 3 Builds 1 point 25 months ago

damn, your cable management is awesome. Im going to have to ship you out to Colorado to do mine lol :P

voodoomike69 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

How's the case? Looks good, any more pics?

Sabotage 1 point 25 months ago

So nice!

DontUSASme 1 point 25 months ago

This is what a proper build looks like. Just, just gorgeous.

Austn 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

Where'd you get the RAM and motherboard for that low?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

http://i.imgur.com/aOWWyy5.jpg

Here's a higher resolution picture, switched the NZXT LED to red, makes it looks slightly better. :)

appleonama 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

what cables are those?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Which, the PSU cables? Custom sleeved from /u/Jappetto

InitialP 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

Powerful, clean, efficient! A 3-pointer! Also, is this thing loud? I see you bought 9 fans. Could this cause a tornado?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

I made sure to buy super quiet fans. They don't push a huge amount of air, but since I have so many of them, it still makes for good airflow. The whole this is virtually whisper quiet.

InitialP 1 Build 5 points 25 months ago

thats good to 'hear'... lol.

xx116xx 3 Builds 1 point 25 months ago

Pretty...

saw1833 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

How do those apache fans do? It seems pretty hard to find a good radiator fan that has halfway decent performance, static pressure, and isn't insanely loud.

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

They're great fans. Some of the best for rads. Either those or Gentle Typhoons would be my pick for radiator fans.

gambitd 3 Builds 1 point 25 months ago

Awesome build, one of my favorite on this site. I cannot find the black cable btw, you're toooooo good mister haha. Amazing build. I have a build just like this but it's in an phantom 820 case and will also be red and black. I'm just wonder how did you get the backplate for that card??? and how do you like those speakers?

cloud9 1 point 25 months ago

My question is do you have enough Fans? btw great build, but i would of used windows 7 not 8

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 2 points 25 months ago

Windows 8 is a much faster operating system, and with Start8 or Start Is Back, you don't even have to interface with Metro at all.

nRRe 4 Builds 1 point 25 months ago

If this is the Berzerker I know..you need more ASUS in your build.

DementedCattle 1 point 25 months ago

How is the kraken working for you?

Arrowdodger 1 point 25 months ago

How does the motherboard work for you? anything special you needed to add or extra parts you needed to order for it? How is Windows 8 Professional working for you? having any problems like windows 7 did when it first came to par? Good build but you shouldve went for the 32GB

haid123 1 point 25 months ago

great build but just a question where did you get the backplate for you msi card i just ordered one and i need a backplate :P

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

It's an XSPC Backplate compatible with the Titan, 780 and 770. http://www.frozencpu.com/products/19433/ex-blc-1432/XSPC_Razor_GTX_Titan_780_770_Backplate_Full_Coverage_VGA_Backplate.html

However, the screws didn't fit, so I had to go get some custom screws to make it fit with the threads in the cooler. I ended up having issues with shorting and contact, so I just put an EVGA 780 backplate on it, it's not consistent, but it works.

IBIubbleTea 1 point 23 months ago

Wrong case. Dont you think?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 23 months ago

Yes, I've since updated the build, I guess I should post some new pictures...

Edit: updated. :)

IBIubbleTea 1 point 23 months ago

Where did you put the other hd?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 23 months ago

5.25 to 3.5 adapter in the ODD bay in the back.

PortalFPS 1 point 22 months ago

how did you afford this monstrosity !?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 2 points 22 months ago

Working? lol

Simmons572 4 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

Just wondering, did you use a 120mm fan for the exhauset? And if so, why did you pot for a 120mm and not a 140mm?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 22 months ago

Wanted the eLoop for the matching set, they only come in 120mm. They push as much air as most 140s though.

Simmons572 4 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

Cool, thanks for the info. I'm looking at getting the same fans as well,so yeh.

utkugul 1 point 22 months ago

+1 for mega SSD!

12allanon1 1 point 21 months ago

gonna be awesome for Star Citizen ;)

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 21 months ago

Gooberdad 3 Builds 1 point 21 months ago

Wow. I wish you had more pics of the machine. The two I've seen are beautiful. +1

Now I'm looking for a 5.1 set of speakers for my son for Christmas. How are the Logitech Z506? Didn't see a rating from you on those.

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 21 months ago

They're awesome, great little set of speakers. Perfect for a simple 5.1 analog setup.

Also, uploaded some more pics. :)

claimore22 1 point 21 months ago

must be nice to have soo mutch money to spend on a pc . Awesome build :). Im jelly.

topxkiller 1 point 20 months ago

Hot damn!

IMANice16 1 point 19 months ago

That sleeving is... ... ... Entire build looks wonderful wish I could put that much into a computer

madpossum 3 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

Very Nice build! I'm building my first build in the Air 540 as well, I love this case. How do you like the Logitech Z506 speakers? I was looking at picking those up as well.

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Great little set of 5.1s for <$100. Would definitely recommend them.

dan1229 1 Build 1 point 18 months ago

Hey so I was gonna build in the 540 in the future adn I wanted to ask if the lack of dust filters is an issue, I saw some dust filter kit specificaly for it but it was $80.00, do you think I would be good with just one for the PSU? Also in regards to your ram, are the dominators worth the extra price? And do you like the NAOS mouse? Thank you so much in advance it's my first build so I'm trying to get it right

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 18 months ago

The only intakes I have on the 540 are in the front. Back and top are exhaust. So the only dust filter you really need is for the front, which it has a full-size filter. And, it's magnetic to boot.

I mainly got the doms because they overclock nicely, and look awesome with the rest of the case with the lightbar addition.

As for the NAOS. It's a great mouse, I just ended up getting a Func MS-3 because it was on massdrop for $29.99. I like this mouse better, just haven't changed it in the build since I'm going to do another update in about a month or so with a new case.

Ope_Lee 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

Hows the H105?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

Great, but I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't get it for free. :P

thomasf94 2 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

+1 that is awesome bro..

Rakirs 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

This is a really good looking build! +1 btw does that heatsink say NZXT?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

It does, but the pictures can't be changed until tomorrow since I can't show the case yet.

michlantecuh 1 point 17 months ago

Wrong cooler man!

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

I know. But I can't post pictures of it until tomorrow, since that's when I can show the case. It'll be updated soon!

TheCotsman 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

hey man, awesome build! Im thinking of using the 450d with the ud3h and the h105. This build helps cause I'm not sure whether the h105 will fit but since you fit it in with a ud4h i know that it will.I was wondering could you have been able to fit the h105 in the other way around?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

I probably could have, but the tubes would be blocking airflow for the rear exhaust. I thought this orientation was the best option.

BFBCIE2 1 point 17 months ago

Are you running the h105 as intake or exhaust? Beautiful build I must say. I'm wanting to do either h100i or 105 with a ud3h and it looks like both will fit. Did you have a minor or major problems with air flows or fans? The exhaust looks to be farther in the case which looks like it may cause some problems

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

Running it as exhaust, as you should for top fans. Airflow isn't an issue, they perforated the hell out of the back, so air is naturally flowing up and out the back fine.

davidff1991 1 point 17 months ago

with the power supply in. can you install a 120mm fan at the bottom?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

I would say that you probably could, although I think you might some cables in the way.

kevers 1 point 16 months ago

did you have any problems trying to get the H105 in there?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

I did, until I realized I could move the grommets for the fan holes over a little to move it more towards the back of the case, then it fit better, but it's still pretty tight.

pegotico 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

+1 fantastic build!!

Voltage15 1 point 16 months ago

That headset price....

And holy crap that keyboard is tiny.

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

I actually got it off Massdrop for $350.

As for the keyboard, I love it.

[comment deleted]
davidff1991 1 point 16 months ago

How do you have those light set up. Along the bottom and back? And how does it fit. I was going to get the same case with only 1 600mm strip of led is the other 300mm necessary?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

I think it is. It'll look a little dim at the top, otherwise. I actually have 2 600mm and a 300mm. 3 strips total.

They go along the edge closest to the side panel, then up above the exhaust back fan, they connect to the adapter that goes out behind to a 4-pin molex.

Litesung 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

What is the name of that desk?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Linnmon from IKEA.

Ech0loation 1 point 16 months ago

Nice phones man! What kinda amp you got?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 2 points 16 months ago

O2+ODAC, replaced with a Mayflower one with rear power and 1/4" jack.

Groxxy 1 point 16 months ago

I reckon someone has been doing a little bit of refunding! Looks amazing

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

tax refunding? :P

Groxxy 1 point 16 months ago

Could be? Or shipping?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

I...don't get it? lol

rap22496 1 point 16 months ago

Wow. Just...Wow. This beast looks incredible!

fargoalpha 1 point 15 months ago

You can tell there was a lot of work into this build great job!

AdjacentMist 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

scale of 1-10 whats your opinion on the 450d ?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

9/10. Only complaint is I wish there were more grommets next to the motherboard. Other than that, it's a great case.

AdjacentMist 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

thanks, i am actually getting this case and looking forward to it !

[comment deleted]
_802TP_ 1 point 14 months ago

Nice build! One question, what are the stands you are using for the monitors and which monitor is which?

Apex1 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Very nice build! I have the 450D also and am thinking of getting the Corsair H105. I wanted to know how you like the H105 and if you had any problems with it. Also, any issues with mounting it in a 450D?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

I had a little bit of an issue because of how thick it is, but you should be alright for most boards.

Apex1 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Thanks for the reply.

davidff1991 1 point 14 months ago

Any trouble fitting the thick h105? And if you were to put the hard drive cage in the top position, could a gpu still fit underneath?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

I had a little bit of difficulty, it's a very tight fit. YMMV as differet motherboards have different heatsinks.

And yes, a GPU would still fit.

Lord_Havershot 1 point 14 months ago

Why would you need 9TB of HDD space lol.

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Just because you don't doesn't mean other people don't either. 3TB is a storage drive for anything, downloads, extra games, music, etc. 3TB is a drive just for movies/anime. The last 3TB is a backup drive for the other 2.

Frostdude2025 1 point 13 months ago

DEFINITION OF AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Taconator3133 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

How is the Wireless/Bluetooth adapter? I want to get one but the reviews on it are mixed about how it works in windows 8.

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

I don't actually use it anymore since I was able to switch the router into my room, but when I was using it, it worked completely fine on 8.1.

RishiCHD 1 point 13 months ago

get some Corsair Red SP fans and use them , itll be perfect them

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

For what? SP120s are not good fans. The eLoops I have are much better quality and perform better.

beercules1028 1 point 13 months ago

What do you think of the Func MS-3?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Most comfortable mouse I've ever used. Highly recommended, especially that it's under $50.

jman5625 1 point 12 months ago

What are your monitors?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 12 months ago

Well they're different in the pictures (I should upload new ones), but in them it's a QNIX QX2710, and an ASUS PA248Q. Now, I just have a single LG 34UM95.

xJuanchoVillax 1 point 12 months ago

First off, Holy Mother of God. Also where did you get that keyboard, I NEED IT!!!1!!

BFBCIE2 1 point 12 months ago

May I ask where you got your eloops and what model they are? Also, did you out the eloops in the front as well?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 12 months ago

Fairly certain I got them on FrozenCPU, and they're B12-2s.

And, I don't understand what you mean by "out the eloops."

BFBCIE2 1 point 12 months ago

My apologies, I meant to type "put the eloops" in the front of the case. Thanks for the reply

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 12 months ago

Oh, then, yes there's 5 eloops total in the system. 2 front, 2 top, 1 rear.

BFBCIE2 1 point 12 months ago

Thank you sir :)

Ninjadudewhat 1 Build 1 point 12 months ago

Smexy, +1. What's with the 10tb?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 2 points 12 months ago

I've explained this in another comment I believe, but 1TB SSD is for most of my games. 1 3TB is for downloads, music, any other random stuff I have, 1 3TB is for anime, and the 3rd 3TB is a backup for the other 2 3TBs.

thomasmorgan 1 point 11 months ago

I have same case and I want the H105. Does it fit with push and pull fans or do you just have the push fans?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 2 points 11 months ago

It barely fits with just one set of fans. I actually wouldn't really recommend the H105 with this case, you'd have almost no room, and some motherboards wouldn't even let it fit.

thomasmorgan 1 point 11 months ago

Thank you. Looks like H100i for me.

700mAdOg700 1 point 11 months ago

MOOORRREEEE PPIICCKKKKKSSSS

JM_81 1 point 11 months ago

Hello! This is a beautiful build I must say. Never would have thought that one day I would love cables as much as I do now. +1

I do have one question though, I see you have the EVGA pro SLI bridge, but it looks like it is white. Did you paint it like that, or is it just a trick of the light reflecting off it making it look white?

If you did paint it, was it easy? I am planning to do a white and black only build, and if I could paint that it would be amazing.

Thanks!

JustAnotherGamer 1 point 9 months ago

+1 For Schiit and sexy HD 650s. Seriously though this is a damn good build.

ThomasAgre 1 point 8 months ago

Where did you find keycaps for the Leopold Fc660C? I wanted to get some for my keyboard.

BFBCIE2 1 point 8 months ago

what screws are holding in that back eloop? those included?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

Just the included sets.

BFBCIE2 1 point 8 months ago

No extra options on frozencpu?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

I think I got sleeved cables, but nothing else.

TechyinAZ 3 Builds 1 point 7 months ago

Nice rig!!

I have a question, I am getting a h105 in the mail and I have a corsair 450d, from what I've heard many say it doesn't fit. But obviously it fits with your system.

Was it easy to install?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

It's an extremely tight fit. I wouldn't really recommend it, as I got pretty lucky with the heatsink size. I would maybe suggest just trying it first and seeing if it fits, otherwise, return it for the H100i.

TechyinAZ 3 Builds 1 point 7 months ago

Ok, I'd really hate to get the H100i again since I do have a h100i right now in my system but it's not working some of the time.

I'm ok with an extremely tight fit, as long as it can fit good enough to not push my vrm heatsinks around then i'm happy.

LucasJWZ 1 point 7 months ago

Nice build! Im using an 450d too, but where are your hdd's?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

lol the teeny keyboard made me laugh so hard

blaze1194 1 point 6 months ago

Really like your build man! Been saving up my money to get a similar build! I've looked through the comments and I didn't see the answer to which vesa mount you are using for the monitor, I would really like to know as I am about to get that monitor myself and was going to start looking for vesa mounts. Any information would be great!

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

It's a standard "Mount-It!" brand one from Amazon. Says it supports up to 27", but it fits mine fine.

blaze1194 1 point 6 months ago

Awesome! Thank you for the response!

iamwildbear 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

How much did you pay for them beautiful sleevevd cables? I am a fellow 450D owner that dont have all the parts to my PC yet, but im planing to make it look nice.

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

I actually got them from a professional sleever for advertisement...so I paid nothing lol. A full sleeve set can cost you upwards of $200, depending on who you get it from.

iamwildbear 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

Ide love for that to happen to me, Your a lucky guy

Thanks for the Info!

I'd really like to see a EVGA Supernova 1000P or a Corsair RM1000i in there matching the colorway! whining at a high level

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 14 days ago

Wasn't going to pass up, at the time, a Seasonic OEM PSU that tested Platinum even though it's rated Gold, and it was like $130.

philphaser 1 Build 1 point 14 days ago

Well, i do know that what i'm suggesting isn't reasonable…and still… ; )

ImElkay 1 Build 0 points 20 months ago

Do you just plug your headphones straight into your motherboard or do you have some other audio solution?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 1 point 20 months ago

I forgot to add it (did now though), but I use an Audioengine D1 DAC/Amp. It's a great DAC/Amp for the price, been using it for a few months and it's been great.

ImElkay 1 Build 1 point 20 months ago

I was actually looking at the same one. Can you recommend it?

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 2 points 20 months ago

Oh yes, for the price, it's very good quality and built extremely well.

dakrian00100 0 points 18 months ago

Build looks epic, I've been thinking about getting that case as it looks like it has awesome airflow with the HDD's and SSD's out of the way along with the opticals. I really want to have CM like that, too. The only thing that I don't really know about is the Mobo which has x16 x8 multipliers for 2-way SLI. I feel like half of one of your video cards is being wasted. I would have just upgraded the mobo to a sabertooth and gone with an LGA 2011 socket CPU such as a 3930k or 4930k to utilize both of those monsters. I noticed your comment stated you are upgrading to 2011 which IS a great choice but if you are going to go after the Haswell-E you better have a HUGE budget ($1000 for the cpu). I feel like you are only barely going to see a bump up in fps from going from a 4930k Ivy Bridge to a Haswell-E... Like 5 fps. Either way your build looks aesthetically perfect.

I'll go through your post case by case.

1) About the PCI-scaling, you can see here: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7089/geforce-gtx-titan-twoway-sli-scaling-pcie-2-vs-pcie-3 that PCI-e scaling from 2.0 x16 to 3.0 x16 (aka 3.0 x8 to 3.0 x16) offers you little to no performance gain. AMD has also done their own testing and found that there was no performance loss, even at 2.0 x8, which would be equivalent to 3.0 x4. So much so that they even decided to remove the Crossfire connectors on the cards and they even still had enough bandwidth left at 2.0 x8 to run the cards at full performance and crossfire going through the bus as well.

2) ASUS generally is known for pretty bad support. When I do upgrade my motherboard, I'm most likely going to get whatever new offering Gigabyte will have for 2011-3 when Haswell-E comes out.

3) The pricing for Haswell-E is going to be similar to Ivy Bridge-E and Sandy Bridge-E before it, but even with that, the $600 5930K (supposed) equivalent will even be an upgrade, to an 8-core, 16-thread CPU, from a 6-core, 12-thread CPU. And, all for $600. $1000 are the Core i7 Extreme 2011s, and those are far from worth it.

4) I'm not going to upgrade for any gaming performance, even if it does give me some (which is still nice). I'm upgrade mainly for the platform. Onboard Z87 features ported to X99 will be nice, as well as the DDR4 support.

I like it, but why spend $5K on a build with an ugly case???

Because it's a beautiful case.

This case is beautiful indeed! +1

wat. I have a 1TB EVO...it's in the part list.

JailBreak 5 Builds -5 points 17 months ago

should of gone raid 0 with that setup instead of getting 3 hard drives. 1 or 2 would of sufficed. I dont get how people get more than 1 hard drive in their setups. Even if you watch movies, play games, theres no way you end up using all the of the 1 TB space..do you guys keep all your junk inside the hard drive? They always appear to be messy people to me. I do a lot more stuff on my PC and stil manage to use less than 500gb. -1

How can you possibly begin to tell me how much HDD space I'd need? Everyone is different, everyone has different needs. I'm using more than 1TB just for my Anime collection. My Music is well over 300GB, and I have movies more than 500GB large. I have a dedicated hard drive just for backups in case anything fails. Just because you don't use it, doesn't mean I won't.

I have each hard drive with a different use. RAID 0 just sets it up for a higher chance of failure. Having everything separate lets me easily swap something out in case a drive fails. If anything, I'd set up RAID 1, or RAID 5/6.

Please think before you comment next time.

...really? Read my reply above. You need to be smarter about how you think.

Why does everyone throw their thubs up when they see braided cables lol? TBH the cable management isn't very good, it's decent I guess lol. Nice parts.

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 5 points 25 months ago

Maybe because the parts are actually good for the prices? Also, my cable management is completely fine.

xSWATxBadkid 1 Build -10 points 25 months ago

It's good, but nothing special. Should have run those front panel I/O cables behind the MOBO. Moar pics would be noice.

Every cable is routed properly behind the motherboard and out to a reasonably show-offy length.

xSWATxBadkid 1 Build -9 points 25 months ago

Showy offy ain't my stayle, but if it is yours ok. I was talking about running them through the CPU cut out and looping around the MOBO into their connectors.

IMO, with good cable management your cables should be as hidden as possible, thats how I do it.

Berzerker submitter 1 Build 8 points 25 months ago

Cable management is just that, management, it's not about hiding. The point of sleeved cables is to show off the look with the color scheme. My cables are managed perfectly fine. Also, you should never run cables through the CPU cut out. If any cable gets cut or something for some reason, it could cause a short on the motherboard.
