Nothing special. I wanted to keep this build cheap and new, so this was one of the cheapest Z97 boards I could find. It also had the USB 3.0 headers I was looking for along with enough SATA connectors. Only reason why this isn't 5 stars is because the IO shield had weird metal tounges hanging out of each connector. (I'm not sure if that is normal or not as this was my first build. ever.)
5-way optimization is nice.
The PCI-E and M.2 lane sharing options are limited and confusing.
I started out with an ASRock z97 Extreme 4 then got this one a year and a half later. I'm very impressed and had no problems swapping them out and reinstalling everything.
Decent Z-97 board at a modest price. I would have loved a few more USB ports around back and some additional enthusiast features, but you get what you pay for. Overall, this is a nice looking board with just enough to get by.
baaaad choice. I feel like I don't use half the features (M.2 socket 3, Sata Express.....). It has an 8 phase digital power design and it seemed to do well with over clocking. Also it supports sli so I could upgrade in the future.
Good budget board. Overclocking isnt amazing but for 110 its really good.
