So this card. My first card after a 500 series. I know right I was behind. So this card is pretty STEALTH if you ask me. When on idle like now the fans do not spin until I think its at 40c but im not 100% sure. This card makes no noise period and looks sexy. I will for sure put another in for SLI. Good job ASUS!!!

I bought this card on accounts of it having 4GB of dedicated GDDR5. Imagine my surprise when it comes to light it only has 3.5GB that work at full speed, when the last .5 only work at 1/8th of said speed. In the words of the great Linus Torvalds: "**** you, NVidia!"

GTX 970 is probably the best bang for your buck. Great value and pretty future-proof, at least for a while. Sure, 980 is better, but also costs an arm more. Sure there's titans out there, but who has $3k to drop on a GPU? This thing can kick some modern butt. When games start slowing it down in the future, just SLI to pick up the slack.

from completed build R5 Define asus

Great card good performance for the price.

from completed build Project: LANCER

For 1080p this was probably the best investment I could have ever made, considering it was also for my very first computer build. The GTX 970 STRIX operates like a dream and enables me to do something I'd never been able to do -- run every single one of my games at their highest settings without even breaking a sweat.

from completed build Team Canada, Going for Gold

Great card, no issues installing it. It is a big card and a little heavy but performs well despite the NVidia debacle. Hugely quieter than I expected with the two fans barely hear it in my case.

from completed build Xenolith

Quiet, sturdy. No sag with this card and I can't hear anything even under load. Great card, simply the best GTX 970 out there.

from completed build Our first build

Great GPU this is the crown jewel in my opinion in our Computer.

from completed build Gaming Build

Very good Graphics card

from completed build Revenant 2.0

So, first time I get a GAMER card. Or enthusiast card, or "look it's on ULTRA, and the computer didn't burst into flames" card. I have to say, I now understand why so many people game on their PC's. The graphics, sweet fancy Jehosephat, the graphics. They are amazing and cotton candy flavored. I actually almost licked the screen when I ran Crysis 2 for the first time with everything and I mean, even the "pimple close up" option, everything maxed.
