The i7 2700k has really stood up to the test of time. I have had this chip for 2.5 years. It has never disappointed me. It was manufactured with a fluxless solder, which is where they solder the die to the lid. Ivy bridge and later chips use cheap thermal paste instead of this superior manufacturing process. Strong overclocker ran at 4.5 with an h60.
