Just like the Razer Electra, the Razer Kraken Pro gaming headset has been field-tested by countless professional gamers and athletes to determine the optimal weight for extended gaming sessions as well as for unparalleled comfort on the go.
Fully retractable microphone
The left ear cup houses a fully retractable microphone boom that pulls out only when you need it, perfect for taking your headset on the go. The flexible design allows the unidirectional mic to be adjusted to individual needs so it's always in the best spot whether you are giving strategic commands or making a quick call to your friend.
Powerful drivers and sound isolation for highest-quality gaming audio
The Razer Kraken Pro's large 40mm neodymium magnet drivers are tuned for clear high- and mid-ranges as well as deep bass for powerful lows. A closed ear cup deign with plush circumaural padding creates superior sound isolation so you can focus on your game or conversation uninterrupted by outside noise.

They fit snug around the ears, nice base. IU purchased a USB to 3.5 adapter so I can use these for music as well. :D

from completed build Dominator (I'm not creative)

Headphones work fine, however the microphone has given out on me, plan on buying a new pair sometime in the near future. Any suggestions?

These Headphones are godly, but not without the Synapses system.

This headset is really nice, I like it a lot. I don't know what to write, so I'll make a list.

-Great all around sound, music, games, Skype/TS/Vent

-Decent microphone for recording commentary, but not singing.

-Has a 4-pin 3.5mm jack and comes with an adapter to two 3.5mm jacks (Can be used for other things when the Headset isn't being used)

-Includes a code for the full version of Razer Surround, which makes a major difference.

-More comfortable than many other headsets I tried

from completed build Gold on Black

For its price, it's a good headset. The sound is good for music and accurate in FPS games. I can't tell you how good it is since I never tried anything else like those Sennheiser headphones and such. I've been told the mic is clear and also there's no sound leakage from the headphones to the mic. I'll hold on to this until it breaks completely, then I'm going with a Sennheiser HD 598 Cream colored and a desktop mic, probably a Blue Yeti.

I took a star away because of its AWFUL cord. It's not braided and it gets tangled literally every 5 minutes and I have to unplug it, untangle it and plug it back in.

I took the second star away because it doesn't have a control panel integrated on the cord. Whenever I have to lower or increase the volume a bit, or mute the microphone I have to do it manually in Windows's sound control panel. If I'm playing a game I have to alt+tab out of it and that really bothers me.
