from completed build The Beast Version 2

Does the job and is cheap per GB = 5 stars.

Bit slow but good for the price.

Cant go wrong with Western Digital. My brand of choice when it comes to HDDs. Good buy. The intellithing makes it take a while sometimes when I try to access files from it because it has to starts spinning again. I realize this is to make it last longer, but not a huge problem really.

from completed build Gaming Machine 2015

Works well, not too many issues yet. Mostly use it for date storage

from completed build Apollo, God of Light

I wanted extra storage for music, pictures, movies, books, etc. That's what the WD Green is for. Inexpensive and big, perfect for mass storage. The WD Blue is for everything else. I admit, four drives might be a little overdoing it, but each fulfills a certain role and they have been working out fantastically well for me.

Used as an archive for non critical, seldom used files. Large capacity, and very quiet.

Recycle from my old PC .

from completed build VoidX's Hackintosh

Not much to say, not to old so didn't expect anything to go wrong, and nothing has. Not fast, but that is not what it is for. This drive is solely for mass storage and does that fine. Wish it was 7200 RPM as I thought, but oh well. It is still fine for my application. Gets about 100 MB/s read and write.

from completed build Photo editing build for aunt

Cheap yet reliable mass storage. From what I've seen WD has great reliability and customer service. Usable storage of course was around 1870GB but that's normal.
