The Samsung 840's (the non Pro series) have been showing unusual failure rates. I would suggest returning it while you can and either getting the more stable 830 series or the 840 Pro (which doesn't have this known defect).

Good build otherwise.

Actually they have addressed the issue with a firmware update and things seem to be good. http://www.anandtech.com/show/6503/second-update-on-samsung-ssd-840840-pro-failures

Actually I think that I have 830, might have to check the box. Just put an 840 on the build list.

I suggest you save 5 bucks and get a cheaper optical drive. and same as below. I;d go for a Vertex/Agility 4. Great build anyway. Happy gaming :)

Different hard drive, meh. As well, could've gottten a gpu with a better cooler.

May I ask the reasoning for the hard drive? And with a question of general interest; is it really a danger/possibility of a graphics card overheating? I only seem to hear about processor troubles, but would definitely like a recommendation on better cooling tech.

Any non-stock cooler is better then a stock cooler ex XFX, Gigabyte, Sapphire, Asus. It will overclock better and last longer. I would've gotten a western digital hard drive, that's personal preferance though. (Bad spelling sorry)

Solid build. Nice case choice. Looks plenty roomy.

Good job!

would the asus gtx 660 be a better card for this

Probably. . . My friend got his the same time as I did with nearly identical specs, except for he had a GTX 660 ti. They seem to practically run the same in terms of onscreen performance. Although I am not so sure when it comes to cooling; thoughts?

No, 760 is the successor to the 660 line.
