Description

This was the first computer I built; it was my experiment. Definitely WOULD NOT recommend. It does run like a dream, but not as much as one could for the money that I spent. This was built about a year ago, so I'm sure the prices have changed quite a bit since. Could not actually find the exact processor that I use, seems that it is discontinued (AMD Phenom X6 1045T)

Interesting experiment, I'm glad to hear that it works fine.

I don't understand why you "WOULD NOT" recommend. Maybe if you had done a bit more research before building? Other than paying too much I don't see how or why your experience was unpleasant... would you mind explaining a bit more?

The cost definitely does not reflect the preformance. I feel that I could have waited for sales/looked for better quality/price ratios. The experience was fine, but not the hole in my pocket.

Do your two memory sticks work together without any errors and show up as 8GB even though they are at different clock speeds?

I got my Thermaltake V3 AMD Edition for $40, and it looks great. There are lots of cheap, good looking cases out there. Just like what daes79 said.

Oh gotcha. In any event, I did not intend for my initial statement to be derogatory in any manner, my apologies. It just appeared off to me with the match up of parts. I will try to word my review more to the gesture I wish to have made

This was just a way for me to start putting parts together. I did not actually do my research as to which parts would work well with each other, and i wasn't hell bent on buying amd at the time.

To answer your question, it was just a budget gaming computer

I'll definitely be smarter in the future.
