Description

EDIT: Pictures contain an MSI card, recently upgraded it.

Really wasn't intending to do a Corsair/Msi themed build, just kind of worked out that way. However, completely happy with it.

After running an AMD FX 8350 for about 5-7 years (A previous build i had posted with longevity in mind And still works... I'd call that a win) the opportunity came up for me to upgrade for cheap. A motherboard and ram all but fell into my lap for a stupid good price because the board had to be repaired and the owner didn't have the patience for it. (So he sold the ram and gave the motherboard with it. GG :D)

Off to building I went.

ATM for me, Upgrade paths really just lay in an M.2 NVME SSD Completely happy with the system as it is now however. i can wait for more golden horseshoes.

I do wish the motherboard came with 3.1 Gen2.

Speaking of the motherboard, i initially thought it was going to be ugly as sin, because brown. It's surprisingly not. The White LEDs and accents help with my overall aesthetic,

Load temps were calculated with Aida64 and furmark running simultaneously on system for a full system load, and recorded after half an hour.

Part Reviews

CPU

Took it over the 8700(non k) because once you overclock the chip up to around the 5ghz mark, it will perform darn near the same for gaming at that level.

CPU Cooler

imho not quite as good as the Fractal Design Celcius water coolers, but a DAMN good cooler nonetheless.

Motherboard

budget z370 board with some marketing toward FailMiners. but a very good budget board. Wish it came with 3.1 Gen2 ports and more IO in general.

Storage

5Yr Manufacturer warranty, when everyone else is like a year or two. Don't be a dope. get Samsung SSDs.

Storage

10Yr Manufacturer warranty, when everyone else is like a year or two. Dont be a dope. get Samsung SSDs.

Case

one of the best cases on the market right now, just wish NZXT would make a proper H440 with Tempered glass. H700 is nice, but its not an H440.

Operating System

IF there was anything else i could run and play games on, i probably would. Windows has been a messy OS since literally forever. i would convert to a Hackintosh if there was more game support.

Well hello there, friend! I agree. NZXT and Phanteks are the way to go unless you want something with an open concept.
