One lonely night four months ago I happened to be struck with the inability to sleep. I stumbled on a Youtube video on how to build a computer. After watching the video I thought why not build a computer. So here I am four months later with a beautiful build that I call my own (and my wife).
The building process took me 5 hours to complete (with pizza break). It was both exciting and very stressful because I have no experience with computers. The only problem that occurred during the build was my own fault. I placed the graphics card in before I put the SATA cables in the motherboard. The card completely blocks all access to the ports, so that set me back in time. Other than that simple problem it went smooth. Everything from hardware to software worked like a charm.
My intended use for the computer is for games. After purchasing an Xbox One I felt that the hardware inside the console was far too weak and craved a better gaming experience.
As far as overclocking goes for the cpu or gpu I have no idea how to do those things. I hope to learn how to so I can squeeze more performance from my computer but for now I will hit the books before I go tweaking my settings.
I can't wait for the next time I get to build another computer. It was an enjoyable experience and would recommend it to anyone.
If any of you reading this have any advice or see anything a miss in the build please leave a comment. Always welcome any help.
