Description

First build to date. Got most of the core components on Ebay.

I originally wanted a H110i GT Cooler for this thing, but I checked the specs and the case didn't fit it.

Then I was hoping for a H80i GT or some other 120mm AIO, but my budget kinda ran dry so I'm stuck with stock until I have enough spare change to buy one from Fry's.

Cable Management turned out to be pretty easy. There's actually a lot of room in the back of this case.

And yes, I know I put an optical drive in the list. The reason I don't have it in the system right now is because I ran out of SATA Cables okay?

Hoping for an upgrade to a 980 or above this Christmas, Hopefully Santa knows someone at Newegg :-)

I might switch it out for a Corsair or EVGA. But that's if I can even afford a new cooler :-/

What do you intend to use this build for?

Games and content creation mostly. I want to double major in Computer Engineering and Science when I go to college, so I'm trying to get a head start by learning Lua and C++. Other than that, probably a ton of essays.

Great build, have you considered going SLI with the 970s instead of the 980 in the future? You would get 980ti performance for a fraction of the cost as you already have one 970. Otherwise cable management is very clean - good job!

I agree it's always better to have a single more powerful card but SLI has come a very long way and it's only going to get better with directX 12. Most AAA titles will have an SLI profile upon release and generally the profiles work quite well.
