Description

First build ever.

Mainly for Gaming, Internet and Movies.

Please note the PSU is a Ace 650W, couldn't find it on the list.

WiFi Card, SSD, HDD, Case, Windows and PSU were part of my old PC. So price's entered may not reflect their current price today as they were bought a year back or so.

Also this case doesn't really support cable management, so cable management all over the place.

You might want to replace that PSU it doesn't sound like it's from a reputable brand...

ACE is made by OCZ and the PSU is a tier 2b and is just as good or better i think its better but not sure what tier it is

I did get a new PSU. It just wont fit into the case due to no cable management in the case. I could leave the cables hanging around the front, but my OCD is not allowing me to do so :D

I got a 650W Corsair HX Modular which will probably go in next month when I get a new case.

The existing PSU is actually fine, though fairly noisy and a bit old at this stage. I think I got it about 2-4 years ago. Can't remember.

Good Build! I have one very similar to yours. One thing i noticed is your ram is in the two outside slots. I have the same mother board and i think you need to have use the two blue slots for only two ram sticks that way it is working in dual channel. i think they need to be in slots A2 and B2. Otherwise great build, nice case and good cable management!

As far as I seen on YouTube, You start from the edge and work your way towards the CPU. You occupy two different colour slots to work in dual channel mode. Some one can correct me if I am wrong :D

Page 1-9 has a diagram of how to set up your ram on the board, you need to use A2 and B2 for dual channel with just two sticks.

Your build here is almost exact to the one I'm going to be building. The motherboard, RAM, PSU, CPU COOLER are only differences... what are the odds of that..

Nice build dude.

Nicely done man! A little confused as to why you chose red ram with a blue motherboard? And particular reason, or were you just getting what was best for the price?

Just a little bit of contrast, it actually looks fairly well with the new PSU fitted, black wires, blue mobo and red RAM.

or could have been a late night moment of madness :D
