Gaming Only Budget PC

I used 4GB of ram I had from a previous build. I was on a very tight budget and tried to fit in as much as could with this build. Definitely needed a Quadcore CPU for gaming - A8 7600 was the cheapest non overclocking option. Obviously a descent 1080p capable GPU - R9 380. Good quality Motherboard chipset for fm2+ - Gigabyte F2A88XM-HD3. Good quality Power Supply (minimum of 550w for the R9 380) - FSP Group Raider 550w. Reliable HDD - Seagate 1TB Barracuda. A nice case with plenty of cooling, side window and led fans - Zalman Z1 Neo.

Parts are quite expensive in New Zealand comparative to overseas. This Rig runs all my games well and for a low-end/ entry level/ budget build this was a good choice.

Future Upgrades - SSD, 8GB ram.

Hey mate, also from New Zealand and am having trouble finding where to get parts, any advice? Probably going to replicate your build Also if you don't mind me asking, how do you find the performance?

thanks

I got my parts from 1. PBTech local for me in CHCH 2. DTC online (freedelivery!) and 3. 1st Wave online also. I would recommend PBTech at the moment they have the AMD-A8-7600-Quad-Core for $130 or the AMD-A8-7650K for $146.79 both good budget Quad Core CPU's the later only difference is the overclockablilty. Also pbtech has Sapphire-Nitro-R9-380-4gb for$355.35 which is the sweet price to performance card at the moment for budget or 1080p gaming. I would def go minimum of 8gb ram. The AM3+ AMD cpus are not worth the money at the moment and the Intel CPU's are alot dearer especially in NZ. My system runs all my games pretty well and new games at medium setting 60fps. Easier to run game like CSGO or League of Legends run very very well. For a budget build i would def. recommend, only downfall is CPU intensive games such as ARMA, GTA, open world types games where this AMD cpu suffers. For GPU intensive games this is a very good lowend system.
