Description

Gaming build that will need only minor changes for me to be at my full build out.

Only issue noted was not being able to have the "M.2-2280 Solid State Drive" be the OS boot drive with the on-board connection. Had to move it over to the add-on card that came with the mother board. May look into why at later time frame.

Had changed the cooling to fans after not finding a water cooling system that would not drive me crazy, but the V8 cooler master works like a charm, even if it was tricky to install.

Part of my parts list does not have prices noted, those items were from the last system build, mostly upgrades that were still fairly new and working fine.

Future plan is to get secondary 1TB SSD to play around with raid setups, and another disk drive that will play the part of a data backup drive. Other options may be to max the memory out and/or SLI the video with a secondary card.

I have not done a personnel build of this scale for a while, but it was worth it since the last one was a first gen I7 930 proc. (I was way past due on going forward on this build.)

This build makes no sense to me. Overkill PSU, monster Cpu-cooler.

I'd rather seen you go AIO cooler and a decent PSU for half the price of that PSU.

The cooler is fine, I would have liked to see water cooling, and the PSU is nice for upgrading in the future.

The psu would make sense if he was planning to sli in the future, as for the cpu cooler i would rather have seen an AIO also but it could have been a lot worse.

Did you forget that this is X99? I've seen people do much worse.

How is the ram working out?

I'm building a x99 system and I wanted to get the same Ripjaw V's you got, the 3200mhz ones.

I've been told Ripjaw V's wont work well x99 and to get trident Zs or Ripjaw 4s. Whats your experience?

Do you have all 32gb running at 3200mhz ok? thanks in advance
